All DM900CII user that did a Master Reset and unable to view channels, Come In

Recently on 18 Jul, Key changed, resulting in many DM900CII user unable to view.

I know nothing abt setting/flashing, not to even mention recover, in the end did a master reset on my 900CII, till now I admit this is a stupid thing to do.

thru many email advice and MSN message and lots of help from many brother. Please refer to below for those people, who master Reset their DM900CII, and don't know how to recover.
The guide is only for those who did a Master Reset
    1. By all mean, i assume you master reset your device, now
do another round of Master Reset

    2. Once reset, on 900CII, will prompt you for auto tuning,
skip this, by pressing YELLOW to go into MENU, select TP
    range tuning.
Range: 304 to 698, proceed to search

    3. When done, i have around 120++ channel detected.
Press YELLOW to go to MENU again
Press BLUE repeatly till COMMAND Box comes out
    Command: f8 ....................
"..............." meaning after f8, the rest all ff

i know key is not allow, therefore i try to "shorten the key posted here".

    4. It should work and all the channel are back and "viewable"
    or "watchable"

yes I know all channel inside, but how come all channel s position is all mess up.

Well, I can help till this stage, i am still figuring how to put those channel postion back to default position.

BUT at least your box is usable, need not to spend money on new cards or new dreambox.

7-8 months back, I did the same dumb thing to master reset.

It took me half an hour to relocate the channels to the original SH 2-digit allocation others except those large numbering channels (ie Ch.255,888)

Now I knew, its much easier to clone the set with another working set of the same model via the "auto-update" feature.

Search this forum, or google, or perhaps youtube, u can find the solution for the easy cloning steps.

In 'menu' go to the second icon from the right (the 1 with a spanner) then press "OK". The 2nd item on the drop down menu is the OSD Setting, select. Then on the next window select the 1st option, left & right arrow will toggle between the 2 languages.

                      Messy channel? How?

                      go to Channel edit.

you must have some channel in your priority list, right?

when found your channel, press RED button, to "favourite" it.

Remember the sequence for each, mark as favourite, will be that sequence.

This is the only way to "rearrange your favourite channel".

Better also in a way, not to include those unwanted channel or those you seldom watch.

Hi bro nipulu77, thanks for your tip.

I managed to sort out the chns by genre. What i did was, 1st delete those chn under 1xx genre and then follow by a TR search. After the search, this 1xx list will be listed at the end of the list. Repeat this procedure for 2xx up to 8xx. At the end just delete the 8 "menu" chns & the 3 mosaic chns.

For each genre, the sequence will be according to the ascending order of the signal frequency searched.

These procedures may be tedious, but at least they are all bunched together and it is easier to surf with the channel +/- buttons.

NB - after TR search for so many times, I still got only 116 chns, no luck on my favorite chns. Not even the 01 P/View chn. haha.

Latest update: i bought a new box from china DM900C-V, I think I still prefer using clone boxes.

                            i did a system update:
                            DM900CII(Receive mode)<---Serial cable-->DM900C-V(transmit mode)

                            Within 2 min, updated completed.

My 900CII is once again function normally just as before, with all channel in proper position

                            in summary:

                            System updating REALLY recover everything
