I think you have gotten the models confused this is straight from Air Sat
ZGemma H1 : 1 x DVB-S2 satellite & 1 x DVB-C receiver
ZGemma H2 : 1 x DVB-S2 satellite & 1 x DVB-C/T Cable/Terrestrial receiver
ZGemma 2S : 2 x DVB-S2 satellite receiver
ZGemma S : 1 x DVB-S2 satellite receiverComment

Correct i did due to a typo although if purchasing now i would probably skip the H1 version for the H2, bit thin on the ground at the moment unless you order from chinaI think you have gotten the models confused this is straight from Air Sat

By the way to correct your Typo the H2 model is actually this
Zgemma H2 : 1 x DVB-S2 Satellite Tuner & 1 x DVB-C/T/T2 - Cable,Terrestrial & Terrestrial HDLast edited by digicon; 6 May, 2015, 11:23.

So is the best price-spec combo box on the market at the moment... Does it hit the sweet spot in terms of price and performance?
How does it compare to 3T TM Combo receiver, or miracle box which are a tad bit dearer?
I really want Vix support so I suppose this is a no go then? Any recommendations for combo receivers that fit the bill?
ThanksComment

I dont think its fair comparing it to the Nano 3T as that has a dual core 1300mhz processor, and i would say the Miraclebox is slightly faster too. I suppose you could say its the next jump up from the DM800se model as its only a single core 751mhz processor. So is the best price-spec combo box on the market at the moment... The new Miracle box with the same 1 x DVB-S2 and one DVB-C/T/T2 has the BCM 7362 Dmips 20000 (Dual Threading 750mhz CPU) and is priced at ?150 so double the price, also consider the TM-Nano-Se Combo which is basically the same as the Miraclebox but is priced at ?129 although images are sparse at the minute.
The Zgemma will take the Vix image but as you are probably aware its patched so your relying on Patched images for Vix support

Hey guys, I currently have a Vu+ Solo Clone and it's constantly crashing (when streaming, etc.) and I'm not very happy with it in general. Would that Zgemma Star H1 be a good improvement over the Solo? They are like ?73 online so I don't want to buy another box that needs constant rebooting and tinkering. Thanks for any advise.Comment

It will run far better and has the advantage of having a DVB-C/T tuner installed should you wish to use it, as for the solo clone you are having to wait for patched images before you upgrade with the Zgemma if you use officially supported images such as OpenDroid,OpenATV etc... then no wait upgrade when you want without fear of bricking the box.Hey guys, I currently have a Vu+ Solo Clone and it's constantly crashing (when streaming, etc.) and I'm not very happy with it in general. Just so you know every Linux Enigma2 receiver needs tinkering at some point as not all images with features are stable they are all a work in progress. This applies to Clone and original receivers.
If you can up the budget and just need a Single tuner satellite model then look at the official Vu Zero or TM Nano SE for around ?100

Thanks! I often use my Solo box as a media player and it's crashing 4 times out 5 when I try to play .mkv files or whatever media and it's driving me nuts! So I'm just looking for a cheaper and more reliable alternative media player which can also act as a tunerSo I think I'll have a go with this Zgemma.

The processor in the zgemma is 3 times as fast (your solo clone is underclocked) and has twice as much ram so will wipe the floor with the solo for streaming. I've just set one up and during install of all plugins had no blue screen without having to set up file swap. I'll be swapping my solo for the h2 within a week or three.Comment

Use a splitter Preferably one that does 5-1000mhz frequency range
