If you are using 8.02 then stick with it. 4.55 is just an easier way to flash for pre 4.52 versions.

Not sure if it is just me but since I loaded the 802 software onto my "Box "my epg is much better (almost as good as the box super). As a result will be leaving it on the 802 software.

Firstly let me say Hi to all.
I am new to the community and this is my first post.

Have had a starview 2 box for 7 months without problems.
As a complete novice, this may be seen as a silly question by some - once I have a serial lead, how do I transfer the latest fix to the box?

Yes i agree with you buzzbomb, my EPG is now running alot faster and better. Nice job will be sticking with the 8.02Ee firmware too.

Hi guys, I've tried all the updates for "the box" including 4.55 can't get any channels at all.
I can't get 8.02 for the starview 2, so what is my next step?

has anyone tried to use this with the box pvr? I think I will try and risk it as the 8.02 fix didn't work, and for some reason manually putting the keys in didn't work last night.

It says 'cant open the serial port' and also 'last message the system cannot find the file specified'. I am using a null serial with a usb adapter. PLease please can anyone help.

Use winrar to unpack the file first. Then set you USB adapter Comm Port in device manager to any used port between 1 and 4.

Dont use this file for the Box PVR, you will find the latest fix for that in downloads.

yeah im sure u can just done mine using laptop with visat and the box works perfect no problem at all ,just make sure u set com port by going into device manager.
