hi which firmware do i need for the starview 2 the box, i've tried 4.55 but no luck, error message: model name does not correct, need help please.

downloaded 4.55 firmware when i open file nothing comes up just gives me option to open or save again. Any help please

i have a receiver thebox which is version 4.51e, and the other week i lost all channels apart from the freeview. it keeps trying to update but nothing happens , can you help

Hi Can someone please help I think i have a SV2 (7 vents x25 ) and hve tried updating using V.4.03 Loader and the V4.55 Firmware I followed the instructions to the letter i am sure I did However after the download was complete a green led line dotted across the froont of the BOX and then froze I did try to load it again but nothing happens Please HELP!!

Help to downlaod software and the flash the box

I have in the past up dated my box using the GT ROM with the bin file alraedy loaded, I am unable to do this. Could anyone please give me a step by step guide on how this is done for both Starview 1 and 2. I see the software is there but am unable to get the whole process to work.

SV2 Box - no power

Hi

Got as far as to press download the 802 firmware - downloadingbar comes up but nathing happened. Not sure if prob with cable/firmware or my box

after a few days - i switched the box off completely and unplugged it so that I could re-arrange my room - after an hour or so switched on sv2 n no power at all.... pls help - as far as i am aware my box is sv2 n not a clone?

Hi. Have I done something wrong? I have flashed the box with 4.55 and now I have no sky sports 1 and have some channels with no name, some with strange symbols as names and others with the first letters missing!! Please help!!!

The Channles will be out of sequence and Sly Sports 1 will be under another name TV1234 for example just use the EPG to see what is on find the channel and rename.
When you have sorted all the channels use the loader to upload the channel bin to your pc so you can downlaod back next time it is needed.

Not a 5 minute job to sort channels but then you are getting it for zilch so small price to pay imho

Ramjet, flashed my mate's SV2 with the 8.02 but I have just been told that it's down again. If this is the case, is the 4.55 the fix for the problem?

Yes, it is - although the 4.55 has some minor glitches too - there is since the 22nd Dec a new update called v4.57, but I still haven't had a chance to see how much of an improvement it is as yet...

Tried 4.57

Just tried fix 4.57 and did not work on my starview2 used V4.03 loader and the fix posted in the downloads. Is there anything else that needs to be done I have also reset back to factory settings after downloading the fix into the box but still nothing. My box is not a clone and I am in Dublin Ireland.

Got it working no need to panic at all I downloaded again onto the box did an auto reinstall turned the emu on than switched to S*Y 2 and the update started no more entering codes in manually

Hi there completely new to the scene was wondering if anyone could help me with updating a starview The Box dont know how, never done it before, have still got a few channels coming through but thats it??? HELP please
