I have always worked in public sector, and I work in public sector as a choice. I work there to help the most vulnerable in society. I could earn laods more money doing a similar job in the private sector but cboose not to.
I do own my own house, but lived until I was 18 in a council house, in possibly the roughest estate in Liverpool which is the 7th lowest level of deprevation indices in the country. I am not privaleged, me and my family have had to fight for everything and anything we have got - that is just like most people on here.
Shipping containers used are around 305 sq/ft - have a look at this.

I would love to have 4 acres of land as my garden, with a ride on lawn mower - why cant I have that? Can we have that as a right - I want that as a right? My brother and cousins who live in Texas have got 5 times that and it costs them very little??
If you was to take a proper balanced view, you could argue that the so called 'bedroom tax' is harsh and the people who brought it in need to know what is going on at ground level. However, the people making the claims need to get off their arse and do something about it. Personal responsibility.

Has said above about people falling on hard times, we should do all we can and more to help people who have fallen on hard times. But you cannot fall on hard times for 5 years continuously - ...
My own personal opinion is that people who come out of work should get a %age of the salary for the first 2 years on a decreasing scale and then after 2 years you get statutory minimum which should be where it is now. I would caveat that saying that you need to be in the job for say 2 years before this happens, and if you are sacked becuase of gross misconduct you should just go to bare min straight away.
People who are disabled and cannot work, and I mean cannot work, should be given the best help and made comfortable for the lives.
Edit ---- I don't think people should live in the containers, however, I do think they are good for temporary rehousing, short stay, homeless, personal refuge.

Some people just have to take a step back and realise how lucky they are. There's plenty of countries where you get no assistance... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. CTRL+F5 reloads the whole page.
