You have not answered my question to you about why you think it is wrong?

I have mentioned many times why I agree with it, however, you dont tell me why you think its wrong. Saying people cant find ?50pm,, that is ?12.50 a week.

    People on benefits will soon be getting on average in their hands;

    65 JSA
    85 Rent
    28 CT
25 welfare payment (dinner money for children)
    20 family allowance
12 WFTC (if they are elligble for working family tax credit)

These are all averages, and based losely on the figures I know. That in total is over 225 p/w, over 900 pm... I have family who are on monimum wage and pay all their own bills who are worse of than that.

People need to budget, become accountable, if they cant manage - they need to change their circumstances isntead of relying on the state.

I do believe that you are upset becuase you are being hit in the pocket, not becuase of no other reason. I really want to know the reasons why you are against it?

    FP.
ok last time I go off topic with this !

Trust me mate, with everything you mention the person or people in question cant afford 5p extra per month letalone ?50 extra.

They cant pay thier gas and lekky, they cant afford to eat, etc etc etc as things stand and nothing is going to change apart from things getting worse, hope that answers your question and we can move on

P.s, remember these people cant work either but do not claim DLA, thier choice, and none have any kids either.

Why didn't you ask the councilor for some advice mate?

        THE TRUTH
        The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

what you are on about is families, what about the single person ?

what about them only getting jsa ?70 odd a week ? ?12.50 is like 1000 to them

1,lodger, who wants to take in a lodger ? could end up with any nutcase.

2,work, what jobs, theres 2.5m unemployed, a 50+ bloke with no skills what chance has he getting a job.

3,move to a smaller house, where are all these smaller houses that will be needed ? especially 1 bed places for the single, or couple with no children.

this "tax" is wrong wrong wrong, its not been thought out at all.

some one said theres a pot of ?150m fur the needy, thats not much when its split between all the councils, and what when it runs out ? the skint will be even more skinter.

Ok, had the top dog Lib Dem councillior for the area in today and got nowhere at all, there is nothing can be done although he said the Lib Dems totally hate the bedroom tax.

He said You will end up in the street if you dont pay up unless you challenge it the correct way, I.E - take it to court etc.

So to cut a long story short, whats the best course of action now, because its defo not getting paid, but the money will be put aside just incase of emergencies, the money comes from an un-named source.

Any ideas what roads we go down to start with ?? forget the C.A.B and places like money matters etc, they are useless.

Open to any ideas here, thanks

@ DUG, yes he gave some pointers etc, but I would need to write a book, hes an ex lawyer too, but he isnt really going to come out and totally stab the TORIES and the LIB DEMS in the back, he has to watch his job, you know what I mean ?

I would prefer pointers and ideas from people in little social gatherings like this, that way you can sometimes get an idea that might actually work.

unless they drop this stupid idea, the only way to beat it is for every one to refuse to pay it, which i doubt that will happen

People refused to pay the poll tax and ended up in prison so refusal isn't really a solution.

people WONT pay it right across the country, simply because they cant afford to pay it, its as simple as that mate.

@ DUG, who cares about prison, no one I know could give a stuff if they go to prison or not as it will stretch the governments finances even more

Anyway, this is slightly off topic again, looking for a solution to the problem now, not what will happen if this and if that.

They are going to have to claim dla/pip and get what help is due. Also in addition to this whatever there condition lets say for example mental health - then hook up with one of the charities that are looking at challenging this "tax". Safety in numbers is the key here. There is going to be legal challenges to this and the more people who get behind it and help the more likely these challenges get off the ground and succeed.
