This puts to bed any doubts that footballers are remotely intelligent The man complains Suarez racially abused him and then gives a statement saying he's not a racist you really do have to laugh. To top that, the FA agree he's not a racist and ban him for 8 games for being a racist

In Uraguay and other spanish speaking countries...it is slang for m8 or pal and very commonly used.

But it all comes down to how a word is used...not just the actual word.
