Worse things happen at Sea and the sad thing here is this is the way modern sportsmen/women are emphasising petty trivial things like this and tbh i think the more and more stuff like this that is getting air time it is actually putting back the massive steps society has came in the last 2 or 3 decades regarding race issues.

Also i find it rather amusing when i read stuff like this BBC Sport - Racism row: lawyer reveals black footballers' association talks call me old fashioned but to me that looks every bit as racist as well having black only organisations.

Plus the fact that ferdinand called ashley cole a choc ice we all know what that was intended to mean, and then he has the audacity to refuse to put the kick racism out of football t-shirt on i wonder why ? choc ice is'nt exactly PC or is it ok for 1 ethnic/colour to pick and choose whats termed as racist towards their own race or colour.

Now this chairman of the black lawyers association is on the radio accusing Chelsea and the FA of a cover up.

I think this guy, Peter Herbert, is after a name for himself and has got the arse as he is no longer going to make any money out of this as no court action is needed!

His brother got racially abused, we all saw the words, and the guy who did it only got a 4 game ban?!

And it took a year to come to that decision?

Only two black managers in the whole of the football league, not a single asian player or manager.......and it takes 12 months to get a verdict on a man that any 5 year old could have lip read?...who just happened to be Englands captain and just so happened to have a major international tournament coming up......

Maybe there are no decent asian football players out there or they would rather play cricket instead of football i am sure the Scouts would pick up any decent asian players they see on there travels.

So basically do you think that it is worse for Black players now than it was in the 70's or 80's ? and refusing to wear the t-shirt for the campaign is that the way to go then ?

Quite a few friends of mine who had potential have had tri- outs at major clubs the likes of Villa, Middlesborough, Derby County and so on but all have been overlooked. Some have been blatently told by scouts theres no point in even trying out because clubs won't give you a chance to progress.

One of my friends brother who actually plays in the Blue Square was trying out at Burnley. At the same time Luke Chadwick was trying out, he passed his medicals and all the tests with flying colours and had even better stats then Chadwick but it was Chadwick who got the contract and there are many more like him.

tbf zee, weve all got mates like that who didnt make it in footy for whatever reason... usually its the dodgy knee that stopped them, first time ive heard the race card being played as to why they didnt cut it..

Thousands off great footballers have had trials and out of them maybe 1 or 2 will go further in football, nothing to do with race! Just not good enough to play in our leagues.
