I'm not sure why its running slow from your hdd.
If it runs better from your usb then change the launch.ini

      [QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0 DE99990F586558 (should read C0DE99990F586558 with no spaces, tried to edit but couldn't fix)
      Default = Usb0:\Freestyle\default.xex

assuming your usb shows as Usb0

or even run both from your usb

      [QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Usb0:\XeXmenu\default.xex (assuming this is where you have xexmenu on your usb drive)
Default = Usb0:\Freestyle\default.xex (once again assuming this is where freestyle is on your usb)

ive come to the conclusion that when i run xex and launch frestyle. if i launch freestyle and then connect my external with games on it doesnt see my games. but if i run xex then connect my external harddrive, let xex see my HDD then run feestyle it works fine..

external drive should be plugged in when you boot your console.

Is the problem that the xbox doesn't see you external drive at all?

Did you format your usb drive from your xbox to begin with.
If you format the drive from your pc, the xbox wont recognise the device

The drive needs to be formatted from your xbox, the microsoft dash. It installs some files on there.
It won't work until you do so.

The usb drive needs a partition installed on it along with a file system which the xbox does when it formats.
There may be another way to do it but I'm not aware of it.

I believe this is what is causing you problems.

what i was told is i needed to format the usb drive to fat32, and because that file system cant handle files over 4gig i had to convert the games over to GOD files

My usb drive was formatted by my console, it has an partition and some data files installed by the xbox.

It doesn't cause my console to freeze, it plays all games with or without converting to god packages and can handle all file sizes without issue.

I can only offer you advice and I believe if you were to format it from your xbox and start over you wouldn't be having all these issues.

use the nxe dashboard on your console, plug in the drive

go to system settings , look for your usb drive and click to format
