As stated i'd get a slipstreamed disc & reinstall it once my drivers are backed up, there would be too much junk on a 10 year old disc.

your supposed to use the "safely remove hardware" symbol thats on your tool bar before removing a drive, but it dont harm any thing if you just take it oot, next, 1, put usb into the other pooter give it a few seconds for the other pooter to see it, 2 go to my computer, 3 click on the drive number thats for you usb drive, ( if you have the right drive number you will see ccleaner in there ) 4. double click on ccleaner, 5 follow on screen instructions, 6 when installed exit everything and go to your desktop and double click the ccleaner shortcut it will look like this --->
then in the prog you will see a cleaner symbol and a registry symbol, run both, but DONT tick any other boxes you see, this will take a while as your pooter will be full of shite.

              first run the cleaner
              it should look like this

click on the cleaner icon on the top left, then click run cleaner bottom right when its done finding the shite click run cleaner again, dont change any settings or tick any other boxes.

              then click the registry icon

click scan for issues when its done click fix selected issues a window will open up click fix all selected issues, the issues will already be ticked leave them, again dont tick any other boxes on the left that isnt already ticked. it will look like this

but in your case there will be more issues, dont bother with any of the other things in the programm just yet, you will need to check for updates every so often, there is a link to check bottom right of the program, when you check for updates select to download from filehippo and chose the latest version of ccleaner, be prepared for a long wait as your pooter has 10 years of shite on it . when you have done all this your pooter will need defragmenting if you dont know how do do it ask and some one will guide you through it, again this will take a long time as you probably have never done it.

run both the ccleaner tasks both scanned in a matter of seconds clicked the repair the faults did a follow up scan and it found no faults then went online to download.com to try and download anti-virus and after a few seconds the internet explorer yellow warning came back on screen again with line-char-error again.

no honestly, i need to scan pictures onto the website via the computer with my scanner if you look at the pictures on my website and the fact that the contact us page shows my location as SAN FRANCISCO you'll see i'm no expert i know i cant advertise but if you collected footballcards and knew i was born in 67 you might find it. as i have said in every post i have had no tuition ever on computers so the terminology means nothing to me,i wouldnt waste everybodys time! either i genuinely need step by step instructions, and i wouldnt be asking for local members to come and help me either.

and find network adapter see if there is a ! next to it
