          can any one help

          son just got a blackberry curve 8520 on vodafone and want to unlock it. can get it to to be recognized in windows 7 and with the desktop manager but when i plug the usb in after launching DarmilesGSMtools.exe i get nothing from the phone and its not recognized in the program

          please help as the son wants it on O2

            Close DTM as it's only needed for the drivers!

              as above l have never install the programme it's opens and the pc gets the drivers before programmes installed

                  still doesn't do nothing, i have data wiped the mobile to make sure there wasn't anything interfering and the program just doesn't detect the mobile, but it pops up in my computer as removable disk

                    The phone needs its USB settings changed...

                    When it is plugged in, you may be shown a menu to turn Media access off.

                    If not have a look through the menu, I rarely get to use Blackberry phones with anything less than OS6 on them and the 8520 can gave OS4 or OS5...

                            As I said, it's a long time since I've used a version 4 or 5 Blackberry.

                            Try going to Options and turn Media Card Support Off.

                              typical managed to suss it all out, it was the mobiles password which was stopping the program, anyways got the codes i need only to find out the its whats called hard locked and has already had 10 attempts at it arghhhhhhhhhh

                                You need MEP 0 reset and this is a BlackBerry fix, few people have (or can even afford) the equipment to do this task!
