I try the code as shown in the faq but it doesn't work either way could you help me

Just to check which code you used...

I've not looked at the process for code entry on the Torch, but normally you do the following...

Menu > Advanced > SIM Card

Type 'MEPD'

then type 'MEP (alt) 2'

If you have the Orange SIM in the phone when you type MEPD, it might bring up a listing showing the various SIM locks. One will be active. The second line 'MEP (alt) 2' should then be changed to match the 'active' lock. You then type in the corresponding unlock code.

If the 'MEP (alt) 2' doesn't bring up a code entry box, the code has been successfully entered.
