to get 7 day epg on 28e do the following :-

first scan in transponder 11778V 27500 , and look for the channels like 8010 or portal video 5 that have sly trailers and info

select that channel , then press ok and do an epg update and it will download the 7 day epg for you

then select the guide and alter the epg as you wish using the coloured buttons

always select that channel to do the download , when required , as it uses it for its epg information

I found out what was causing the insufficient Transponder Memory Error today on my Blade, it wasn't this latest Patched firmware, it was the Channel List that I was using, for some reason it had become corrupted.

So did a factory reset, loaded the latest Patched firmware went into satellite search, done a full scan of 28.2e, saved channels to flash drive, sorted them into order that I wanted and loaded them back to box again and checked to make sure that everything was working as it should which is was.

Does this receiver allow you to save the 7 days epg on a hard drive or usb stick?

I noticed the TM5402 does not have this option.

ive lost my 7 day epg channel ive checked evey group and in all channels list its not there, is there anyway i can get it back without doin a total channel re-scan? like a manual dish scan?

just download it again on the portal channel as I have said before in this thread

I save the portal channels into my favourites for easy access , and have them at the bottom of the fav list

use the download option in the menu to save your cndf to usb stick formatted in fat32

i did an epg update on the video portal 5 channel but it still doesnt show me a 7 day epg and in some of the catagories the channels don't show whats on until i choose a channel

works ok for me using my own list

I did find I had to turn the box off after the new patch was loaded , by switching off at the mains supply for a few minutes before I could get the epg update to work properly

and I also mentioned in this thread that you should do the factory resets to ensure a good patch is locked into the box , especially if you encounter problems

but some people are lazy and just update the current patch without the factory resets , and then complain when it doesnt work properly

having just checked mine again I can confirm a 7 day epg on over 95% of my channels in my favourite groups using 28e only

I will also point out yet again that I am not using the lists from their site , but my own bespoke list for 28e only

use at your own risk , but I use it and my lad also uses it just fine on a bm7000s (non-combo)

What i realised when i scan and save the 8010 n Video Portal 5 channel:

1. You automatically lose the 7 day EPG channel

2. After going to 1 of the channels and doing an EPG update some of the channels still wouldn't show a 7 day EPG so what i did was leave it on the channel for a few mins like you did with the 7 day epg channel, then i found the channels that wern't showing the 7 day epg were doing so now.

However after 30 mins i lost the epg again for all the channels so had to do another epg update and in the past couple of hours i have done this 3 times.

I have switched it off at the mains as ramjet sugested to get the epg to work better but it made no difference and this firmware is locked as when i downloaded it i did 2 resets as you recommended. Although im not using your channel list i cnt see what difference it would make to my situation regarding this problem.

THis may not happen to everyone tho and these 2 channels do update the epg as ramjet has said but for some reason i keep losing the epg after some mins.
