OK a friend i know

new card multi room card sent through post activated to a box (not sure which i havent seen but its hd box)

put card in osclamb reads fine with 19 entitlements (should be 21 should there not for full package? without asian)

anyway no premium decrypts sports etc , documentarys do..... put card back in box all hd and sports work fine.................


latest osclamb and varying older versions ( i know but just trying)

I've just put my sky card into the received amstrad HD box and it updated till 16th June . put it into oscam now it shows entitlements but doesn't clear channels. No HD channels or sports and movies. Only package that clears is entertainment pack.

I'm going to try a SD box tomorrow see how that goes.

If you re read his post he has already updated the card in a uncle rupie box, so he's going to try and force pair it with a SD receiver now to see if he can get some of his channels back in a third party receiver. although it is worth pointing out that he will still likely not be able to get HD channels even if pairing it to a SD box is successful.

yes i fully expect it not to pair, but at this point what has he to loose by trying it ?, after all if it does go pear shaped a quick phone call to pair it back to the HD box will sort it so he can at least use the card in that again.

Why wont the Thomson box work? if it cant accept the updates? Surely Sly will still pair the card?

Sly are trying to replace Thompson boxes so its unlikely they will pair the cards to these boxes. I think Thompson receivers can receive the new firmware updates but have vulnerabilities in them like Jtag facility which would help in cracking the new pairing system.

so what are we looking at here? hyperthetically would be a case of needing a new boxkey? obviously not generated by the serial etc, i know it will be more complicated than just simply a box key. im just hypothesizing....

on another not e i know people whi have just updated there cards in original boxes and they are ok , box types are unknown but done yesterday.
