My card received 1 emm this morning using Oscam which updated the Asian package to 5th June however the entitlements for the Sly package have not updated yet.

My card updated through cccam last night to 9th June on all, not been in box for around 8 months and all working ok so far..

Well, i have an old Thomson HD box, not mine, but given to me last year, it has a FTV white card, but no entitlements on it yet, not even FTV stuff as Liverpool FC tv was not
coming on.

I checked to see if it has this receiver ID bit & no it doesn't, so as a test, i am now forcing a software update on the box to see if this box will now have the
latest software with the new receiver ID on it, will post my findings shortly.

They are not sending the new Updated software to the thompsons, as far as they are aware most if not all of thses where on recall over 2 years ago with the offer of a free replacement

Yes, as they can't force people to take HD either.

They dont need to force people to take the HD sub, HD box will have sd content. They will simply just let card not update and supply you with a new box free of charge.

Well we know for sure now, no new software on the Thomson as i just tried it.

Well i never got offered any upgrade, have a thomson with full sly ROI hd package. So I guess its a waiting game, either we get lucky and we are the ones who will get away with it or eventually our boxes die and Sly either try to con us and claim its a faulty box or they offer a free replacement.

These will be phased out slowly but surely, I know afew people already over the last few months/Year that have had PVR3's replaced with a refurbished PVR4/5 HD box FOC and they have no HD sub just standard.


I would imagine that all old white SD PVR2/3's have now been taken out of circulation and replaced with HD PVR 4/5's

Its now just a Guess as to how long it takes them to swap everyone out, This obviously will not happen unless a customer calls with a receiver problem
