so far its the people with amstrad 890/895 HD boxs who have put their card back in that box to update entitlements who have been effected as a software update has been performed at the same time which has performed a secondary pairing to the chipset id thus making all hd and premium sd content unwatchable via O****/C****. as stated its going to take all subscribers with older thompson HD boxs and all sd boxs to be replaced free or heavily subsidised and as for people refusing to accept a free stb upgrade there will be some clause in the T+C,s stating thats a breech of contract under security of the system or similar. no doubt there are N**,Kudelski ect spies on the forums but unless someone has concrete proof of such accusations should be kept off the forum. regards mdt

explain what you mean!!!! no one else has said that any other hd box has recieved the update and thus paired the box to the card from what ive read of course not everything gets posted in open forum and why wouldnt i want to look for answers? if you want my logs im quite happy to post them for you,regards mdt

Its only of late people have reported problems and its all vague, mainly guys with a few post who have came on saying help. Once its happens I dont think the logs will help OScam as it does seem they implement fixes they dont create them.

There are now reports that cards are starting to lose access to HD and SD premiums in Oscam when entitlements are updated.
This only happens when it is your turn to receive the firmware update.

I have tried a card out of a SD Sky+ box in OScam and it clears everything (including HD), it is a multiroom card with HD on the main box. BTW, the main card is from an Amstrad box with the firmware update and that works in OScam as well.

Well that makes perfect sense you wouldn't get HD from an SD receiver in the first place so no change there, And i think a Certain provider would be very suspicious if a customer called to have a card from a HD box re-paired to an SD receiver Hmmmm!

Just tell them their is a fault with the HD receiver, but you have a spare SD box laying around the house & you are not bothered by HD, & get them to downgrade you at the same time.

just had an update with emms today in oscam server and previously 5 tiers on 28/05 are now on 17/06

Not having a pop at you mtd, just using your post as an examlpe.

Its peeps who've setup a server with little or no knowhow that start running around like headless chickens when something goes wrong.

I've a drx890 here with new firmware & card paired to it full sub for the last 3 years & i've checked it with oscam & it clears all channels HD Sports Movies the lot. So its not just peeps putting their card back in receiver thats causing probs. Also anybody thats messed with any linux box knows simple things can cause days or weeks of head banging.

Yeh & there well known but at the same time peeps give these bankers way to much credit, we've been hearing for years that sky can "do this that & the other" well my 2cents worth says this was all bollox & misinformation why does it take so long for them to do the simplest of things? Don't forget any thing they try costs $$$$$$$$ NDS doesn't do thing for nothing.

As for keeping things off the forum, well now its who you know & how willing they will be to help. I remember peeps suppling cards, logs & firmware dumps & what did they get in return? **** all except " I'm not going to spoon feed you" " but i'll take all the help & info you'll give me" Bankers

They dont pair boxes without the receiver ID.

My dads cards was from the amstrad 895 or 890 and I think around the dec time I got a old samsung box. So i thought well if its going to happen I will try pair it to a old box and delay proceedings. Called them up and said my brother was watching house and broke box etc but I had a spare box. So I just acted daft and said only some of my channels were working. So they asked for the rec Id and told me sorry you need to do a FW update and call us back and we will pair card.

So I done exactly that and weirdly card would not clear in original box but would still clear in own setup. So I then had the conspiracy hat on, maybe this is a test to see if I call back up (weirdo ah no) anyway tried in morn and still no joy, On phone again and they still saying yes its paired but nope fck all. So tried the website from card and instantly channels came on the original box.

I then put card back in my setup. Been there since and no issues.

Also on the SD box for a min, My mate who has a legit sub and a very old original sd box was moving house. So they arranged to come out and move his stuff. So I thought they would have swapped out his box but did they fck.

So its obv not a mandate for swapping out boxes or when they arranged the move it would have been a ideal opportunity to swap the old box out.

I dont claim to be a hobbyist but more a guy who got interested in a technique to give him cheaper tv. Ironically I still pay them ?37 a month for the world package inc HD and I use other setup for sport and movies.
