Heres the flash instructions I found:

Flashing the Receiver. Maxdigital XP1000
***8211; Fully power the receiver down via the rocker switch at the rear of the receiver.
***8211; Insert the USB stick containing the image files into the rear USB port on the receiver.
***8211; Power the receiver on from the rear rocker switch
***8211; Wait for both the RED Recording LED and the LED on the front standby button to appear
RED, once you see this you must press the CH+ located behind the flap on the front of the
receiver to initiate the flashing process.
***8211; Wait for the image to flash, during this time the Standby button LED will appear purple to
indicate that the image is being flashed.
***8211; When the flashing process has completed the receiver will automatically reboot.

Hi, received it and aint that impressed so far, first boot it was loaded with openpli 4.0 but didnt check what date , should have made a backup of it, was in a rush to load vix 3.0 , so downloaded vix 3.0 latest build for xp 1000, it flashed fine, but stuck on startup , with xp1000 hd receiver on screen , so downloaded older builds, even tried openpli 3.0 and same, then contacted air, they then gave link to vix 3.0 , this flashed fine, but its build 600 which is quite old, even vu solo goes upto 721 build, and aint getting full memory , this is what im getting

Total memory 236416 which i have no idea what it is ?
Flash total 105.5mb which is way off the advertised 2gb

so don't use images from xp1000 receiver they wont work and if anyone can make backup of the image that's already on it which is openpli 4.0 that would be great ,

Dont get your hopes up on the massive Flas/Ram capacity as its a clone they will also have cloned the original spec which means the following

2 Gigabit Flash = 256mb & 4 Gigabit Ram = 512mb

As i explained in the post above its worked out in bits and not bytes so Flash is 256mb and ram is 512mb simple

Digicon it's still wrong I know your calculations on what it should be are correct based on the information to do with item being sold but as the quoted above states they don't add up to that it is 128mb flash and 256mb ram. (original are only 128mb flash & 512mb ram)

The ram may be simply available ram so 256 is currently being used so in that case it would add up to 512 if not they have halved the ram from the original box.

Basically it looks like they have lied to catch people out the give away is in digicon calculation why would a clone have more flash then original it was cloned from especially with memory prices being very high at the moment?

here is what they sent its build 600 which is quite old but it got the box working again, they told me they will send me latest build and also openpli 4.0 tomorrow , you should send them message and also about not getting full memory

why not just go on the openpli website and download the latest 4.0 image from there?
