Hi, just managed to get hold of a 2amp PSU and will test now, also running latest vix 3.0 ,

i notice vu solo runs much smoother on vix 3.0 then ibox 2 , navigating is quicker

          Thanks

Tried it on the other psu and it makes no difference.
Its pack up faster if you navigate tru the menus.

i had time with both the vu solo clone and the ibox 2 both running vix 3.0 and can tell the solo runs smoother, and its more responsive,

the blanking out i was getting randomly don't think it was image issue, mines has heatsink on cpu and its barely warm so i know its not heat issue, got 2amp psu now will soon find out

Hi, ok same thing happened with the 2amp PSU so can rule out using 3amp psu was problem , most likely box is faulty, guess that's what you get with clones, anyone find out what fault this is caused by ?

Thanks for that, mines comming to bits now i know its not psu, most likely the cpu will require a reflow, the first boxes didn't have a good heat sink( or any in some case's).....as you said clone, made in china.... i have had this on the solo clone as well.
Also i have had a nand issue on an alien2 and cpu on a xpeedlx2 so i would say its a normal issue for a sat box. They all use bits made in China by the lowest bidder. Only differance is when you buy from china there is no easy return like a genuine box. Its a gamble simple as that.

mine cleared customs today hoping to get monday/tuesday excited to get to play with a e2 box after the f3 ive had for a year now (will still be using as its easy for the mrs to use) cant wait too sink me teeth into it , as for the psu wouldn't a higher ampage psu be better than a lower one ? surly the unit only going to draw what it needs ? Let us all know if the reflow works as got a nice hot air solder station at work for this kinda stuff.

No heat sink in your one?

I opened mine and its got similar heat sink to the one in the vu+ duo. Just some black metal thing.

What plugin can I install to monitor CPU temp?

nothing as it does not have the hardware required to monitor temperature.

According to Airsat, the first batch had a DDR problem, they offered to send some chips when I ordered the new "fixed" boxes. The new ones have a card reader and a nut holding the F Socket to the case.
