yes that should be all you need its been some time since i set one of these boxes up but found it very easy i added the cline with remote no problem at all

on the 5402 if i do a factory reset do i get all the sat and channels that was first on it when i bought it thanks

I just got my mates tm5402 and he was using it for PLTV. So I downloaded patch and add-on put it c-line but it just says disconnected. The ID I assume is user ID and dchp is on - any ideas?

On your remote bottom left you have a button IP, press this and input default password 0000.
This takes you into Addon screen or active C lion, ensure connection is switched to ON, this can be activated by scrolling over to connection status and pressing OK to switch between on and off.
Remember to reboot box

first day looking at this box or an box for that. got a tm5402 today to try just updated via usb ok but 8281 does nothing to go any further any ideas anybody ?

You also need to load the ADDON firmware patch as well as the main patch for the 8281 to function

thanks sorted now, checked software version and it wasn't updated , tried again and now sorted

Thanks to this thread. I'm a newbie in Feb 2013. Maybe I'm the last punter to ever to buy a 5402 (M2)...never mind, I'm looking forward to setting it up next week.

First off do a factory reset. Download the phantom patch and add on. Copy to memory stick and insert back of box. Go to usb menu and install phantom patch. Reboot and install add on - then reboot. Add c line by way of the IP button bottom right of remote and away you go

Hello same in here. i have followed all instructions but i still cant get it to work ,i have installed the phantom patch as well as the addon but still cant get the c-line to connect it still says disconnected. I can watch youtube, maps in. radio. but not connected to the cline. the one which i have is fine, i tested. always showing disconnected. Any help please?????
