Just joined - hello - I've being using various satellite equipment for about 10 years (dargon, matrix etc) but am ignorant on CCCam. Is it worth downloading the patch if you don't want to put your hand in your pocket for additional services? Thanks in advanceComment

official firmware will not get you into servermenu just patch again with latest patch and things should be ok again from Download center if you loaded add on before it will still be in your tmLast edited by thijs; 5 March, 2012, 15:00.Everything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only. hey everyone,
Hope you all well.
I recently got this tm5402, it was working absolutely fine till a few days ago, now it is freezing and gives the message "Scrambled channel" when I go to the server list, the protocol is NEWCAMD, active is ON and the Status is DISCONNECTED! when I press the red button nothing happens, What should I do to get the status back connected? any help will be much appreciated.Comment

Hi, I got a tm5402hd box from some one with one year subscription I want to update the fw. But if I do that I am going to loose the cline info I mean servers details. And I donot have cline details. And do not know how to get these details from the box. When I press ip on the remote and go into cccam details I can only see Ffffffffff
Any help how to get c-line details off the box.Last edited by twister32; 20 March, 2012, 07:05.Comment

if you update firmware the c-line will remain
only if you reset the box in the loadermenu you will loose the c-lines(switch off at the rear turn back on while holding menu button this brings you into the loadermenu)
make sure to update firmware by
1)back up channel list(in datatransfer menu press green button this creates .cndf file on usb device)
2)factory reset
3)load original technomate firmware(can be got from Technomate software online)
4)factory reset
5)load latest patch (can be got from Technomate software online)
5.1)(after this load latest addon if you did not do this before, after this 8281 will work)
6)factory reset
7)put back channellist(same as patch/firmware ok on cndf file>ok on normal) and rescan all channels in use
if you don't use this method in between patches you might get stuck with bugs/problems on your tm
cause old bits of patches/firmware may remain in your tm.
and it is very important to do factory resets ,in motorised setups make sure to take note of your longitude/latitude for USALS
and reload them before you rescan sats in useEverything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only. Use the information at your own risk.Comment

thanks for quick and brief reply but the thing is i had tm500s befor and i updated the firmeware through the box and after update all pay for view channels was scrambled and i had to take it to the person i got it from to get it working and he charged me ?20 for that to get it working.
friend of mine have a tm5402 box and recently he just pressed on fectory reset and after that his all pay to view channels were scrambled and he had to take the box to suplier to get it working.
so that is the reason i am concerned. the box i got tm5402 does not have a card in and in 8281 i can see a cccam connected .
so i was thinking if there is a way i can save a cccam details and copy they over after patching?Comment

if you go into the loader menu and do a fac.reset there you will loose your c-line then.
If you don't want to loose it only factory reset in the normal menu i was trying to tell you NOT to do factory reset in the loadermenu if you don't have the details.Everything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only. Use the information at your own risk.Comment

sorry if its been asked before. im new to the tm range,
have always been a stalwart dm person.
have tried conecting to dcc but it keeps saying login fail.
have changed the password to root from dreambox.
cant seem to see the c.line otherwise, i want to take it out and put a new one in.
but without going through dcc i dont know how?
i dont want to reflash the box and start again.
is there any other way i can view via dcc.
have managed to look at the box via internet browser and it says the user is root and pasword is root, but when i do this on dcc it does not connect.
sorry should have said its a tm 500 that i am trying to sort out.Comment
