Just tried in a w204 on bench. Says obd2 pin 7 should be connected to the esl LIN! So no Eis alone.
edit, with Eis and esl connected I gave up after 2 hours. Not saying it doesn't work but you will need lots of tea and biscuits to see this one through lol

I was having trouble with w203 keys. Car started but remote didn't work. Frequency was wrong on a ta22. Programmed one up with new update and frequency is correct at 315. But haven't tried in a car yet. I will next week and will report

Done 2 W204 ESL jobs today with AVDI using Mecedes 9.0 there was no need to use key PSW,
just read EZS via OBD & save,select ESL-read-personalize & select EZS file saved,just seconds & was done.

you need 8E sokymat transponder, non remote can't program, but there is a device Chinese can program remote and this remote can buy from same place which you buy the Chinese device. ps: but if the car (keyless go) so can't done by Chinese tool.just without keylessgo can done.

yes 100% you can re use a second hand key. remove nec from key & erase with avdi. then learn as you would a new key. Ive only used it a few times but its reading via IR & finding password for me on W203
And Lupu, did you read the password by plugging AVDI IR reader into the EIS.....they way where it says 'working' until it finds the password?

Try to flash EPS with same version SW and then recode it to defaults and adjust to your car afterwards. Get ENET cable and try to do it with ISTA, buy new EPS from dealer and send invoice to support..........

Just write old dump back and adapt over OBD.

iv failed on 2 w209s to. both times iv got 'esl is not virgin' reported it and they have said its when someone has messed with esl or mileage. not to sure id be that unlucky 2 one after the other same fault. so dont think its working on w209 mate.
w204 lost keys, on 16 hours now still hasnt extracted pass with all keys lost :( ill keep it going for a bit longer.

As sait thousand times before, on the ir pass extraction option only posible on 908 mcus and some hc12. Does NOT work on 9s12. And w203 had all 3 versions in the eis. W209 has hc12 or 9s12 so if youre lucky and got hc12, the succes rate on them is lower than 30% anyway.. for new option that is advertised i have no nerves or the time to try it on such eis if i can get what i need in 20min top with dismounting the piece

according to avdi, it will extract on these EIS with working key and protag. same procedure as the bga keys, but its failed for me on both the 209. I agree on lost keys on these older EIS best to remove. But as a spare (both my keys were V51 which avdi does not support :( ) it should work by calculating.

Yes i agree, it should make them with same procedure but no eis with motorola inisde seems to work with this pass calculation methode

before i do my eps is working , but just vin different , so i just do coding option in my avdi & hang at writing 52 % & than after yellow light come & now eps not working
in my avdi many time coding funcation hang & software no any error message

I think, Mario is right. It just works without soldering on NEC EIS. Nevertheless, i tried today on my own car, w211 from 2008 with 9s12 EIS. It writes "Schl?ssel erneuern" (renew key) on dash and avdi is working. Then, there is a box, which describes, i should connect LIN bus cable from ESL to pin 7 on OBD plug.I will not try. It?s useless, i think, it will not work then, too. So, it?s much more faster the old fashioned way. Remove EIS and read with Xprog...

I was play today with W212 from 2012. Try to extract pass via IR when same message appear like Jan1980: Lin bus from ESL should connect to k-line of OBD2 port.
I didn't try to connect, client was in hurry.

Same on w906 sprinter, connect pin 7 of obd plug to kline esl. Tried that, but got nowhere. Gave up and removed eis.

Pin 7 is connected in the car anyway to the Kline of esl as it comms with it. Cant see how a direct connection could work? Never got it working here either. Maybe they need to sort the manual or do a video to show us how it's done!!!!

Connect the Direct link wire as stated also pin outs for ESL-EIS (EZS) are at the bottom the MB UserManual I followed and it works a treat.
Also made W204/W207 lost keys a 100%

I've done 2 W204 with lost keys one took somewhere between 18-20 hours & second car was around 12 hours,wasn't sitting there watching screen that's why
only estimates for time.

I'll leave it a bit longer then. I have needed my interface and had to stop. Be good if they could have a pause or resume from where you left off rather than start again each time. Not really a practical solution for live jobs, leave your kit in a car all day and night, and on bench you would need to remove esl which is a pain in 204 .

Last week I made a new key when all keys were lost. Took the PIN and CS from ECU by EEPROM and programmed the normal way - first prepare a blank transponder with the CS and then program with the key programming function of AVDI. It should be the same for spare and even easier if you have one working key, just type in that you are programming 2 keys. Check the manual - the required steps are described there.

Hi autotkey, it doesnt say much in the manual, but i had followed the above procedure, i made a dealer key with the cs, then cycled 2 keys, then pressed the ok botton!, but only one of them gets programmed.
At one stage the new key started the van, but the original wouldnt, and vice versa, any ideas?
ps, when i cycle the new key, do i need to hold it till, in the avdi menu, engin permit start turns YES?or cycle as you normaly do?

According to manual - after key learning procedure is finished you will need to turn ignition to ON with each key. It should work then.

Thats the proedure that i am using, i am going to precode another chip tmro, and try again one thing that i dont get is ,why it only lets me programm one key!, i have started the van with both keys, but only one works at the time, if you cathch my drift!

Just connect pin 7 from the obd plug to the kline of the esl. Thats all you have to do

During the process it shows that it tried to access the internet when avdi tried to access the bcm.
At the end it shows 2 keys programmed, and ask if I want to program another key. But the key ignition is not programmed.
Is internet connection required to program the ford key?

This exact same car and same result happened to me. With Avdi, I had to use VCM-II.
I sent my logs to them and still waiting.

I have same issues with support..... No answers, they just say "reference the manual". Where as you stated, manual completely outdated.
And I live in US, I send email for support one day and wait for next and get same answers of "reference the manual"

The reflashing process of cluster makes it possible to get access the the aes key avdi patching some bytes to get access to it.
Without the patch you can't read this key to encrypt eeprom.
So that is why you can't make a backup before.

Anyone managed to copy and write scn string from ETC 7g tronic ML320 cdi 2005 into a brand new module?
I can't save it for the life of me. Spent today a few good hours got everything done but the scn. Am I doing anything wrong? I have tried before doing anything and even after programing personalise and activate. Still not saves it.

I have tried exactly as you mentioned. I have also tried to mod just one digit and is always jumping back to zeros. That was under adaptations.
I have also tried in the end to copy config data on special functions and I can see the first few lines are jumping back after writting.
It behaves the same on a used unit I have. Is not saving the string.

hi with the new update im getting internal setup error 174 any clues how to solve this
so far ive uninstalled old version and restarted pc and installed common and main abrites exe file
replaced .dll file in system
but still no luck once exe is extracted and moves on to recognising avdi then this error pops up
any clues boy?

Anyone know if I can do a W212 cluster on bench, with connections using Abrites?
This is newer model and couldn't do EIS blocker through obd and wasn't able to do cluster either by obd after installing Can blocker.
I just don't wanna open cluster if I don't have to.

There is no other tool on the market that can unlock VW transmission without online connection and active Geko licence. Same goes for MB and BMW transmissions . I don't like them to, but for some things they are only option.

I respect that, but I am interested in fixing other mess after failed adding key, and for that purpose, there is no other tool on the market ..... yet. For just keys you can do almost all without it, but for Q5 with BCM2 it's a must have tool.
And please don't get me wrong, I hate to pay , but for now we all must, until someone creates new better tool. And that will happen,but it wont be cheaper that's for sure.

VVDI2 does IMMO5 like charm. But nice to know that SMOK has it to. There is a lot here about AVDI having problems with Audi A6 ELV making key so if I would buy it for $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and have to rescue with SMOK or VVDI2 I wouldnt be happy at all...

well i'm at the point to pull the plug on this never ending money grabbing company - when i bought the kit with lifetime "free" updates it started by paying for AMS which still would have been fine in return for useful updates but now i have to pay again and again for updates which just change number faster than i can pay the bill.....
after buying Fiat FN012 it soon changed to FN016, after paying the bill it now changed to FN017 again , more money please stupid customer....
AMS seems to be just an expensive licence to allow customers with still some money left to buy more of their "new" updates which will be obsolete soon again after receiving their payment - they don't really have a choice as the previous one won't be updated anymore -money down the drain again....
I am very disappointed with this fast growing greedy behaviour - enough is enough....i will spend my money on other tools from now on !

I am changing a esl in the exact W204 I was successful in making donor ESL virgin (off car) and I virgin EIS (after I read and save password ) I make key blank via abprog.
When I go to program key to vehicle after I load EIS dump it will not let me. All tracks disable and I try to enable track with IR reader and it won't work. Asks me to turn on ignition and ignition will not turn on, and stay on that step.
I'm sorry for quick run down but I'm trying to program key and I am wondering what I am doing wrong that it won't let me enable key track

If eis mcu is motorola the situation to get the pass is totaly different then from nec (i mean with protag and without opening/desoldering eis or key) on every eis where motorola inside it says esl should be virgin and doesent work.. on eis with nec mcu it does work, pretty good i must say.
But why dont you try to make esl virgin first and repeat the procedure ?
I dont even bother to get the pass from eis with motorola inside with this method. The time it takes to throw the error esl must be virgin i can dissasemble it and read with a programmer if not v57 key of course.

All w906 will ask for virgin esl if using the working key option. I didn't touch the one on the van, just unplugged it and plugged in a spare I had already virginised. Then swapped back after it had finished.
If you use ir reader instead of working key in eis, it will need pin7 connecting to esl kline.

I think you have to buy FN0017, or upgrade to it, check your license viewer, if you have the FN0017, then you extract the pin from the correct ecu for fiat 500, not sure how precoding will go.watch this space .

this car was jump start wrong i think couse istrument cluster was gone did not see keys.after programd second hand cluster i still had issue in ecu,for immo.
so im not sure maybe ecu is the problem.

I have only owned it for 7 months and so far have been able to do 3 virgin transmission on Mercedes successful, and successful in starting Bmw.
Things not successful in doing, and getting little if no help are:
(please reference manual is beat answer they have for most my problem)
Failed PMI on Ford van airbag module (done easily with iScanII )
Several Ford key programming, one I remember worked.
Failed to replace Esl module on w204 and after 3 weeks of emails and begging for TeamViewer help I returned vehicle to customer. And yes I followed manual to the T.
Failed W212 mileage calibration
Failed W164 cluster reading and writing, on bench or in car
Failed immo off on 2004 Jetta. ( Used FVDI clone and worked.
Failed (after spend $2100usd on license) virgin and program cluster on 2015 A5 after I was told that license is why I needed to do job.
So ya, like above I think this tool is amazing in doing a lot, but many many holes that need fixing.
I'm not say things that failed are due to just tool, I probably needed guidance that pretty much doesn't exist.

Hi guys..I'm new to the "money pit" as some would call it...I need some advice..with renault software RR011
Reading and updating the EEPROM of the following ECUs:
- EDC15C3
- EDC15C13
- EDC17
- SIRIUS32
- SID301
- SIM32
- SAFIR/SAFIR2/SAFIR200 (reading only)
- IAW 6R.20
- IAW 6R.30 (reading only)
* Reading and updating the FLASH of the following ECUs:
- EDC15C3
- EDC15C13
- EDC17
- SIRIUS32
- SID301
- SIM32
* Clearing IMMO code data for the following ECUs:
- EDC15C3
- EDC15C13
- SIRIUS32
- SID301
- SAFIR/SAFIR2/SAFIR200
If I purchase this could I immo off a sirius32 via obd?

you can virginise it by obd, some ecu work like immo off when you cut immo line, but some need emulator.
i have that option, work great.

My advice to anyone out there
try and buy dealer tools
will probably cost you less in the long run
these robbing swines take the piss
there is no such thing as free updates now
yes you get the odd fix for your 200 euro a year
look elsewhere for other tools on the market
Abrities does not know how to respect customers
just take money
every update now seems 1000 euro
so if you got that money to burn fair play
am selling this money pit if anyone wants to buy

I wouldn't buy abrites for sirius32. It's one of the easiest ecu's. You have to make a lot of these to get your money back. You can make sirius 32 with 29f200bb in bootmode with ktag within 30 minutes. You can make sirius 32 with 29f200ab in an hour soldering included with proper programmer. You don't need avdi for these things. Avdi is good if you want to make renault key cards for example.

I didn't buy avdi for sirius 32 in particular...just that for €250 it seems ok??no more de soldering.seems ok? I want to purchase software as I go on and require it...but obviously need to be sure like I buy as I wouldn't want to spend the money on something that doesn't work...currency in my country is soooooo very weak to the euro so I need to do research

I do around 1 - 2 sirius 32 immo off's a year now, they are all in the scrap yard, too little too late I think.
AVDI has its place, off course there are other tools, but I would not be without it now. If you can afford it, and have a plan to make it pay back, then it is a good tool and will serve you well.
It is the norm in this game to buy tools that dont work exactly as stated, tell me a tool that does everything it states??

They don't work directly, but you can buy a cheap chinese programmer and use the generated files to program chinese keys. It's at least an alternative...

the $20 Ir reader works great, but will only write them, simon touch nec key works great with them. 500 euro, and will read, write, erase, read pass, all via IR. I use avdi to make key file, then ST to write them works well

protag will work with some chinese keys still, but not all. I bought a cheap chinese ir programmer & use this. Ive also foudn that if I erase the chines keys with a chinese programmer it will reset the keys to a status that protag can use.
The abrites keys work, but I have had a problem with the 315 ones, they are faulty from new....abrites are aware of this

I did no ism replacement but should be as any other DAS module on benz. Read and save scn coding, vin etc from original. Make new module virgin, sync with eis, paste scn, vin etc and done.

Just install donor, then virgin.
Make sure you have 7g files from Abrites .com installed on your PC first
I didn't have to do scn coding on mine.

I just got a request from a customer. Maybe someone can answer this for me?
09 BMW 750i with ZF 6HP trans and continental egs in it.
Customer has old faulty EGS and donor EGS out of vehicle.
Can I read old and write into donor?
Or what is best way to make donor work on vehicle?

EGS(electronic gear selector) do not have ISN . If they need just EGS that is easy, if they locked transmission you will need full BMW activation.

You need to change ISN in transmission to match DDE/DME/CAS and then gear shifting will be operational. BN012 and BN010 required , or you can use BMW explorer , AutoHex for it if you have them.

Avdi work perfect for 204. If you have gold nec writer it won't work on Chinese keys, if you have he Ir writer above they will.

They write perfect. Just don't forget to use the software to edit the key file before writing or the keys won't work
