I'm really new to all this and I was silly enough to press software upgrade on my BluePanel DM800 HD PVR. Then I flashed the box (Blackhole Enigma) and I am working my way back to getting a working box.

While it is a tad frustrating, I find it very impressive the dedication of some of the board ! Thanks guys and thanks Astrobox!

bro.. i am using E2 DB800HD..

I follow exactly every single settings(double check and try many times), when i try to click, "Send files to Dreambox" i will get below msg:

Connecting to 192.168.0.15.
Could not connect to Dreambox. Check IP Address, network settings and status of Dreambox.

If the 1st place, when i click "test IP connection", it is successful.

Do you know what is wrong?
COuld it be the username and password wrong? Because i click "test username and password", it will show could not connect to dreambox on address 192.168.0.15, port 21.
Username:root
password:dreambox has already set by default.

I am using db edit ver 4 and ver 5, both also cannot.

Appreciate you have any clue here?

You bought the set with pre-ocnfigured image or you flashed the image yourself? If its the former one, the originator might have changed the password, what you can do is to flash an image of your own preference, then ftp the new bouquet in.

Image is not related to any channels missing or can't view any encryted channels. If u r happy with the image, just do a manual scan for the new channels if u know the frequency less do an auto scan or download the latest bouquet for sg and transfer them using dreamboxedit. It would be better to backup yr existing one in case u don't like the new ones on how it is arranged.

Before flashing of any image be it the latest or outdated, backup the working image via dreamup or telnet. Secondly, ftp to yr working box to var/keys and var/scce to backup the files inside.

Yup i prefer to use this method rather than use DB edit itself to send picon cause i tends to experiment with many different images as different images is in different folder.
Yes i prefer to use the older version of DB edit not the latest version 5

Backup your keys & rom files 1st than reflash it with any images for 800HD SG usage I suspect your images is corrupt i have the same issue using Blackhole version 2 get it from another forum try many method but still failed to connect
when i click "test IP connection", it is successful, same as what u experience when use DCC it will connect.

Hi seniors, i hv updated the latest bouquets on my DM800. But found there are many reserved channels, can i remove it as i find them quite annoying especially when u r searching the channels. So actually what is all the reserved channels for and what is the purpose? Can i removed it?

Press the red button on the channel list and the reserve will be gone
