Hi Bros,

Just want to update, I've managed to get ALL BPL channels as of now.

What I did:

Update the FW using the one cyrus uploaded on the 1st post (not bro jatrophaseed one, but the 0508 one).
Manual scan 135500, 6090 symbol, QAM leave it 256.

I guess the signal has stabilized (as what bro jatrophaseed had predicted).

Will try it with a new cable tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi all,

I just did a flash on my HDC-800 with this fw and now it cannot detect any channels at all.
I'm stuck at the Installation Guide menu.

Before upgrading I've noticed that the Min freq was xxMhz (2 digits) to Max xxxxMhz (4 digits) for Full Scan.
After upgrading the Min freq is 98000Mhz to 786000Mhz and the Symbol (Ks/s) is defaulted at 6875.
I've tried Restore Factory Default, reflashing the fw again and hard reboot multiple times but to no avail.

Can any senior members provide some advice if this are the correct settings?
Or is there additional steps that I missed?

Model: HS-FTA-AVS+DVB+C
SW Ver: HDC-8XX V2.0
HW Ver: HDC-8XX V2.1

SW VersionTime: 2013-08-05

you may want to try to change the symbol rate from 6875 Ks/s to 6090 Ks/s before starting the full scan.

I've been advised to buy either a signal booster or a better quality cable to solve this problem of the jittery and distorted images.

Might go down to Sim Lim tomorrow to get it. Any recommendation which is better or what I should get?

I'm trying to look for the previous ver of the firmware to revert it back or copy the firmware from another box.

many thanks for your reply...if you have resolve issue, please share with me...thanks...i believe our box is of an older gen...that's why this new firmware can't work with our box.
