FYHD 800c-vii latest firmware

Have read a lot in this forum and thought I should share some of my newbie experience with my white FYHD that was bought last month (before knowing this wonderful site).

Casing - MHD 600-C
Software information when bought:
Name: HDC-800
Model: HD-FTA-AVS+DVB-C
SW: HDC-888 V2.0 TNDT
HW: HDC-888 V2.1

SW versionTime: 2013-07-17

And I updated with the latest firmware found dated 05082013. Unfortunately, jatrophaseed removed his version of FW as I THINK his is a better version. Initially, I was unable to update FW. The box just reboot and nothing happens. The reason for that is due to my ext HDD is in NTFS. I then changed to my SD card formatted to FAT32 and updating was a breeze.

Went straight to manual scan and followed the instructions on 135500 and symbol 6090. Got the channels immediately. Did another full scan and the first 6 channels are there. The other 2 channels are parking at 1000+ but I can't confirm as there's no broadcasting yet and I don't watch soccer actually. Just doing all these for experiment.

Points that may help to improve signal:
If possible, don't use a splitter. (I'm going to get a good quality splitter this weekend. Any to recommend?) The signal quality drop from 70+db to 10-20+db after getting split on my splitter(poor quality i think). This is tested on 135500,6090 since these are the only channels left that are not clear on my box. I used to have problems with channels from 666mhz (download SGSH channel list from the downloads section) but they are solved with a change of coaxial cable.
Don't use a converter (male->female or vice versa). The lesser the components, the better it is. Get the exact connector type for your coaxial cable connection.
Don't buy excessive length for your coaxial cable, buy what you need. Longer cable = more signal lost.
Buy better quality coaxial cable.

Hello everyone, I need help!! My box is FYHD-HDC-800e white box! When I tried upgrading the firmware provided by singapore dreambox website, it keeps stuck on boot and there's no image or channel on my TV screen. What I should do? Help Me!!!! Help!!

Have you tried removing the power plug. Then let the set rest for 10min then restart the set again.

I'm using FyHd800C-ii but cannot update using the firmware provided. After selecting the .Bin file it reboots and back to channel 101. Check firmware still the same. Dunno why it can't flashed. It didn't show any updating screen.

I'm using HDC-800-IV and got the same issue too. No updating screen shown after selecting the .bin file. Did a manual on off power and firmware still the same. Anyone know how to resolve this?

Omg, I just knew that Black FYHD is no longer producing. Checked with my seller, he said the chip i no longer in production.
I just got one box couple of weeks ago. So i guess I'm stranded now like other bros who have bought this model too, no more firmware update for this model.

My friend is using an old set FW should be 1 +year back. Actually he just manual scan channel using the freq provided and he manage to get 3 channels.
The other channels he just use -1 freq and he got those as well.

I using the 1308 but not stable. It hangs once in a while. Also can't get CI HD & BIOHD.

i prefer using 05082013 it is more stable for me. Maybe u can try that bro.

Anyone having some "Audio Sync" issues with this box with the 05082013 firmware? Affects all the channels under 6090ks/s. Affect the beepee elle channels 102 as well. The commentary seems to have audio lag....

Just on the TV and checked mine. Working fine with no issues. I'm having the same box and using the exact same firmware as you are. Maybe your coaxial cable?
