I'm in an offset area, so the lowest frequency used here is 106.750. It was introduced a few months ago for some HD channels. To be on the safe side, I also included 98.750 in my cables list, just in case they decided to go 1 TP lower.

I had trouble with 106.750 on my Q5. I had to use a signal amp to receive it.

i use vix images on solo,solo2,duo,max digital 1000 hd and various updates by new usb flash and no settings restore, and had issues over 6 months ago with samba not working kept getting errors, had samba running over 2 years with no issues and only lately was told to not use samba as it was dropped and to use nfs and worked first time.all boxes are now on nfs and no issues.
plenty of other posters had same issues over there using samba and was resolved with nfs.

I am reading that the box is cloned already (from those that support the support forum) and some boxes have the sony tuners as opposed to samsung and suffer from same problems as some cloud boxes. Pleased that your box is working great but looks like others not so well pleased and wont deal with AD. If the box works fine though great price.

Literally Every Enigma2 receiver has the ability to 'RECORD' to any Network attached drive either a 'Nas' or on a 'Laptop' etc... most images have samba running automatically to allow you to setup a network share Play/Record folder.

You can also use the NFS share feature for 'Nas' or Laptop/PC networked drives

Not sure about below 107 but in my area (seems to affect many parts of Scotland judging by some forums) I have two frequencies below 123 - 107 and 115. The amiko is ok at 115 but signal quality drops quite a bit but at 107 it just wont pull in anything. There are three HD channels on 107.

Like I said i've had a few dvb-c boxes opticum, q5 and the zgemma has without doubt the best tuner. It gets everything, even tried it on a weak signal line where I know a q5 was struggling picture kept breaking up because of poor signal... But not with the zgemma and it's samsung tuner handled it no problem.

The "old" cable boxes in N1 and N2 days used to pull in all channels no problems but the amiko is not alone in failing to pull in at <= 107. Anybody any ideas if it just weaker tuners or VM changed something?!

As for zgemma it is good to see them getting supported directly rather than patched images.

Endemall or anyone else does it pull in everything on cable? The dreambox and Q5 does no problems.

    Thanks in advance.
I've used a yellow konig birck booster on the Amiko and it didn't work. When all said and done, if you get the channels, pictures good qual E2, auto bouq and easy to scan I'm not bothered about all the other add-ons. Some people require and the bells n whistles.
    similar to mobile phones, I don't .
My dm500 with commando 15 works fine as a second bedroom box, my eyes are that shiitte my whole lives in SD anyway ..............

As for the Zgemma ? I will be getting one. If the arguments about clones vs gen boxes we'd be here all night. If the box does as the specs say , decent speed and runs OK , pictures fine (samsung tuner I think) then I don't give a flyer if it's a clone of a clones best m8's cloned box at 85 sods it'll do for me.

there was nothing wrong with the dm500's s or c , still running now 5 years on.
