yes, but thats only one side of the story.

I get shit rates on my savings. I personally, wish the interest rates would go up.

I live in a house with lots of bedrooms, but only use one.

I love living in a big house. [and dont have a mortgage]

Well that's why you want the interest rate to go up. I would prefer less interest on my savings a nd a smaller mortgage.

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

thats why I said it was only one side of the story.
If you had no mortgage and say, 200k in savings, you would then want the interest rate to go up.

I can recall getting 14% on savings years ago and paying a fortune for my mortgage.

[mind you, I can also recall going to school in cut down wellies]

Labour is the welfare party, its knows giving money away wins votes and is a way to get in power. Its desperation in a crippled economy giving more benefit makes no sense at all but it will win voters on housing benefit

and labour dont seem to care how they pay for anything as long as they gain power, democracy is a smokescreen for BS UK politics

          EDIT

btw its not just the low interest that is saving the Uk at the minute it is inflation, Inflation is making the amount borrowed actually more manageable because the low interest rate compared to the rather higher inflation is making the already borrowed dosh worth less in real terms

well in this day and age i dont know how anyone can save. i cant afford a decent holiday, nights out are a rare treat, i hardly drink as i cant afford it, gave up smoking 11 yrs ago again cause of the cost, never tried any sort of drugs as again couldnt afford it.

i regularly see appeals saying for example "i drink a bottle of vodka a day and spend ?10 a day on heroin."

isnt it wonderful our state pays for that!!!!

a few of my friends other halfs work in city building in glasgow. they go to do repairs and all they get is moans about the bedroom tax. the occupants of the house have a massive up to date telly inc sky and a fag in their hands.

people dont have a right to live in homes with 3 bedrooms when their kids have fled the nest for free!!

far too many on benefit want and have been getting far too much. truth hurts for some of them.

do people on say esa really believe when they say they are in agony all day every day that doesnt get checked up on!!

Having worked with the UN they've got a cheek looking into how others care for their own. Biggest waste of space next to the EU.

I would say the exact opposite, who the heck do the Tories think they are to even question the United Nations !

From my experience of the UN they are made up of unelected, overpayed big wiggs who hold expensive meetings to discuss issues, then produce minutes of the meeting six months later. Then just as they're about to explain what they wasted their time discussing someone points out things have changed so they have another meeting and the circle continues.

I worked for them for six months in Cyprus. I'd have a task to carry out and so as not to waste money they'd make me get three quotes. These quotes then went to the UN HQ who would discus the quotes and choose the cheapest one. I'd get a credit to pay for the services then go back to the cheapest bidder; this would take at least three months. By then the supplier had upped their price. I'd go back to the UN and they'd get me go for another three quotes. In six months I had a workforce of 20 guys put up in hotels and all their pay covered yet they never did a minutes work. When I took over the job the guy I took over from told me what they were like as he also had the same issue. To make it worse they had a seperate budget which paid private companies to provide serivces while we were awaiting our own funds.

I'm prety sure I'd rather listen to any elected party than the UN.

That just sounds like the Tory party to me really, except the Tories make life cruel, horrible and unbearable for just about every average person in the UK, so infact no, the Tories are worse ! Much Much Worse, would rather have a bunch of 90 year old dementia sufferers run the country to be honest, they would do a better job as its really not that difficult, no disrespect to people with dementia by the way, just saying.

We're stuck with Con or Labour sadly and I'd never trust either to run a bath. The Libs are laughing as they'll get in anyway as part of a Coalition.

Is that some sort of party that bores you to death so you sleep? e.g. UKip, along the same vein as UShip for hiring trailers when moving?
