            Hi

Boomer m8 just forget it he just doesnt get it does he. You need to ut it in bold or something but Il try and see if I can put it better.

I read the sports forum a bit and try not to get invovled was active in a sports forum that got closed down because of rival fans being at each other........ you know which one I mean boomer.

Anyway most of united fans responses are ok I can stand them but this yasmin fella/woman as its a girls name in some communities sure has a chip on his shoulder and some remarks/answers just dont make no sense. His answers are geard to wind people up.

I may be wrong but dont think boomer has used insulting language on the other hand though boomer has been insulted a few times.

Yasmin what boomer was saying is he is a scouser born and bred in Liverpool but currently living in Stockport so him supporting Liverpool is quite valid unlike you born in York but supporting a team never mind close to you but out of county for you.

No offence intended but just an observation on my part but should anyone be wondering I do support Liverpool but that has nothing to do with me making this post.

Fair enough mast, Yazzer has been a little excitable and it reflects in the posts, but boomers old hand and his trolling is drawing the reaction.
Go back through boomers posts and it's all there in black and white !

In fact go read the Utd thread and have a post count on boomer since his side surrendered the perch ! It's just bitterness at it'5 finest.

                Hi

I have read a lot of posts for fear of getting out of hand and in both the liverpool thread and united thread it seems to e that yasminandrio was doing the baiting and boomer was responding to that.

That said you have to have banter thats what makes the footie sections good but when insults start flying around its out of order no matter which team you support.

Im not or shouldnt have stuck up for boomer as hes more than capable of fighting his own battles, boomer does know what hes talking about and in our way we all think we know it all but keep the banter and not the abuse and insults.

Yes getting back on thread I would say Yes - indirectly. I.e. a club like Chelsea with not an awful lot of history (in terms of winning trophies) and not a massive fan base have become a big club since the money injection, because the money has helped bring success on the field and success on the field has brought greater exposure world wide. Which has increased the merchandise sales and increased the fan base.

Though I still think Chelsea have to sustain it for a greater period of time than a few years to be amongst the other big/massive five clubs in the UK that have already been mentioned.

Thanks for sticking up for boomer, Just to put the record stright, I for one have never posted in the pool thread and thats a FACT, also the statement that booer has not been abusive or insultive to anyone is false and i have never called anyone a coont or dic*head or anything like that, so mate get your facts right and read the threads properly before making such a untrue statement, Just so you all no i got back from london at about 12 this afternoon after watching two of the biggest clubs in europe play at wembley last night, and yes man utd were second to everything last night, Barca were out of this world, but i had a great couple of days watching the team i have followed since i could walk, I love you United, Bring on next season.. I can't wait to do the 60min trip to manchester to watch the best team in England,

chelsea are now classed as a big club so yes money does definately help

there are people in this country who would probably think leeds is a bigger club than chelsea

to players around the globe they are many who nowadays dont even know who they are

i know utd are the biggest in britain without question the next one is debatable

liverpool celtic arsenal rangers and chelasea would all have a case for 2nd IMO

city will break into the group mentioned in the next few years if they can buy the title

i still think real madrid is the biggest in world barca are maybe closing the gap though

It has already been shown that money can make a club big and history is just that, history. Clubs could have won every trophy going years ago but that doesn't mean they're any good today.

Humans are pack animals by nature and look for approval. If Bill Gates spent some pocket money on players and set up a new team you could bet that supporters would flock to support his new team. It may take ten years but once he started winning every trophy more players would be scambling to join the party and their supporters would follow. That's how the so called big clubs of today are where they are. Investing in players and relying on supporters from outside the catchment area to build them up. It's more to do with good business sense that sporting ability nowadays.

Take a look at the United States to see how much money can mean to the size of a Club. Whole teams have moved locations to larger Cities just to gain a greater following and thus financial gain and from this the ability to buy better players and increase their support base further.

Just how big would the likes of the top Premier divisions be if their finances were limited?

blimey snowy where did that come from ? im actually in agreement with all you have said,a very informative statement you have made,i would just like to add that i think a wage cap should be introduced right across the prem and then we would really see who wants to play there heart out for there club,i guarantee you wouldnt have the same players at the same clubs as we do today
