Apologies for being such a pain in the ass but as you must be able to tellI am totally new to this.

So far I have the download, i have formatted the sd card and copied all the items on to it.

What is a nand backup and how do I do it? Shall I use the sd card that I am using for the ModMii?

A nand is what you call the wii's operating system. Even though the wii is not working as it should it is working and by doing a nand backup if anything goes wrong during the rest of the process you will be able to put the old nand back onto the wii and start again. You can use the sd card you are going to use for modding but you will need around 1gb of free space. The tutorial that modmii made for you will explain how to do this with a short video.

Well we had insufficient info she didn't mension she could play burnt discs.

Plus she said her ex had put a crack on it but we didn't know which crack. Until we knew which crack then I couldn't tell her that much. You say it could be Darkcorp which I've heard you say is a pain to remove.

Those are my thoughts if someone else knows any better then we will have to wait and see.

Good morning. I am trying to follow the instructions but have come across a problem.
If I click the home button whist in the HBC there is no option for BootMii (see picture)
However if I click A on the priiloader tab (which is in the video) it comes up with a screen that I dont know if I should click on as dont know what itll do (see priiloader picture). Am I supposed to click load?

Its unusually you don't the the BootMii option when you press Home in HBC but the BootMii will only work if you have the [bootmii] folder on the SD card else the screen just goes black.

Now PriiLoader 0.7 should to block online and disc updates you can install it from HBC just click Load.

I think your best bet at the moment is you post a sysCheck report and please follow the instructions in that link to post it in here, DON'T use NotePad to open it with WordPad.

I do have the bootmii folder on the SD card so do I load Priiloader? will this take me to the option for bootmii?

If you have bootmii on the root of your sd card leave the as card in the wii and switch it off till red light comes on then switch it back on with the sd still in it...with a bit of luck your ex will have half a clue what he was doing and with it being an older wii you should have bootmii as boot 2 which will auto load when the wii is switched on with an sd card with the bootmii folder on the root. If it doesn't put the sd card back in the pc and open the bootmii folder and tell us what files are in it

Clearly he didnt have a clue what he was doing as nothing auto loaded.

These are the files in the bootmii folder.......

You are missing a boot file from the folder. I'm at work at the minute so if you look in the downloads section you will find a bootmii folder download. Put that on the as and them try it again by the switching off method
