          bootmii as boot2?

Does this guide enable me to install bootmii as boot2? I've already softmodded my 4.2 Wii to get HBC etc, but would really like to play backup ROMs from usb and install bootmii over my boot2. Is this possible without a firmware downgrade?

Hi I'm a little bit lost, I've managed to get the homebrew channel on my wii but I'm not sure I've done everything I should have.
I followed the instructions here but got lost after downloading the software, I have bootmii, homebrew browser and savegame manager when I open homebrew but I can't play any back ups
              can anybody help me please
              thanks

Are you wanting to play backup DVDs or from a USB pen/hard drive?

If the latter, you'll need to install the USB loader on your homebrew channel

I used the hackmii/bootmii loader from hbc.hackmii.com, installed via the bannerbomb exploit

I have got homebrew installed and can get on the homebrew channel but how do I Load GP DOP-IOS MOD. Press A to continue?
I cant see anything resembling GP DOP-IOS MOD.
                    Thanks

                        Hi there =)

                        first: awesome guide!

within 25 minutes it was working perfekt! thank you dell_xps

But since i still also buy original games, i wanted to play some tiger Woods 10, but it asks for an update? Now i'm not sure if it will screw up something...
can i just start the update from the cd, or should i copy it with uloader to the hdd and play it from there? since im sure i can't just accept any system update, when it aks for it...

Pretty sure your Tiger Woods discs will be ok to update as it it will just add a few files to your 4.2E modded firmware.
I'm sure if you check back a few posts someone asked the same question, so I'm pretty sure it's ok to update via your Tiger Woods disc ok.

4.2E is the very latest m8, dont update to anything newer if/when they bring it out as it will probably stop your backup games from working.
