What I meant was, if your system is PAL make sure your backup is also PAL version other it can screw your console if you install a different version!!!

There are 3 types on the market:
PAL
NTSC &
JPN

I'm new to posting, normally I read everything and learn what i need from existing threads, but this time i just have to say your post solved all my issues with my wii, I am running 4.1u and was getting nothing but blank screens and lockups at every corner. thank you for taking the time to write your tutorial

Black Screen

I have followed all instructions and did not receive any errors during installation or nand backup. when i load uloader or wii usb loader, i can see the list of games, but when i try to load, i either get a black screne with one game and super mario brothers shows a locked icon; then i get a nand erro msg. i tried to load uner 222, 223 and 224 and none worked.

could it be the usb drive i am using? it is small kingston data traveler 2 gb. this was the only one i had to test and didn't want to invest in large hdd until i knew that it worked.

please advise. familiar with some stuff, but kinda newbie..

whats the other game your trying to play?and what error message are you getting?

i tried to load wii usb loader and sdusb loader, but got error #002 with both. i tried a couple of different games and even tried as pal, but got same errors. i noticed that when i use wbfs manger 3.0, the .iso files i have on my hardrive were ntsc, but when i load them in wbfs in says pal. only a couple of them would stay as ntsc. it shows that there is room with th2 2gb usb drive for at least 1 game, but was wondering if the usb drive may not be compatible. all of the .iso games i have worked with my other wii with neogamma as dvds and i converted them with imageburn to my harddrive...then to the usb drive. the wii i am trying to mod has the dvd chip that can NOT read burned dvds. i tried to load neogamma, but it did not work and kept giving me error #1053 and #1048. i was hoping the usb or sd loader would work on this wii that can not play burned dvd games. i haven't tried to load the usb loadr on the other because it works fine with neogamma so far.

have you tried 002 fix in loader settings and forcing pal/ntsc also try switching tv type in wii settings 50hz/60hz

Hi everybody!

I got the 4.2E but cant seem to do
4. Press down then press A to select ?Install and patch IOS36.?

When i do that i get errors, cant downgrade and such?

Any pointers on why that is?

are u downloading from nus or sd?

where it says load ios from sd card which should be highlighted in white press right till it says download ios from nus make sure you select yes for all 3 patches. It usually works for me
