will a factory re-set get rid of all problems

    dont worry about the change atm i think its ok now just save and exit and the comp will restart and the disc should load after the mem test

      to save and exit i hit esc to go to previous menu,i then clicked on the save and exit but the disc didnt kick in,i'll take the disc out go to those menus and try again

        once you have gone thru the motions and reached the installing point select the c drive and DO NOT SELCT QUICK FORMAT and format with ntfs

          ok to change device 3 to number 2 u eitehr hit enter and move using arrow keys or highliught and use the + and - to move the device

            still not running from the disc i'll go into the menu again and move option 3 to option 2 ,the screen did say enable before so i must have saved it correctly

              i'm not getting the disc loading and the memory test is over in a couple of seconds now,i did manage to move option 3 to 2 with the +

                tell me now the order of ur devices and when u went back into the bios was the quick boot still enabled?

                  i've switched off the computer,i'll go back on but yes the menu did say enabled i'll write down everything on the screen in case it helps but this will take me a few minutes, why is it saying sony disc the repairer left me a datasafe and i also have a memorex
