Hi
i have read the other threads but it seems I have the only S11 receiver that wont re-flash/recover,
Does this recover a receiver that appears completely dead ie nothing showing at all, I have voltages inside the box so I presume its corrupt firmware,
Could some one point me in the right direction of a suitable firmware, members have had the same problem but have found firmware that works, tried several off this site but to no avail about to use the s11 as a door stop, trouble is its not summer.
Any help would be nice

Hi
All the info that you need is in this thread if you read post 1 should give you an idea.
Also a bit more info as to what box and whats happening with it, is it stuck on "ON" or dead and if dead have you tested the power supply.

You say you have voltages but are they the correct voltages.
Also if you know what firmware was on it when it died then you should try that as I think thats whats brought some people success with really stubborn boxes.

most of the time people turn the receiver on too fast.
You have to start the loader then turn the receiver on at a casual rate.No hurry,it gives you a long time.I have started the loader and forgot to connect the rs232 cable to the receiver.I still had time to do all that and it loaded.Comment

Hi
Tried all above ideas but still no joy,
The lead is correct as i have used it on others, but I cant remember the last firmware so I have given up and its beaten me, spending to much time on it.
Has correct voltages without a diagram, I can only test the 240v
Thanks for helpComment

Ok I was having the same problem and just fixed it finally after a lot of trial and error heres what I did -
downloaded http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...de_8mflash.rar
then downloaded some older firmware -
SKYBOX_3601hd_CMT_120820071a.abs
(if you search google you will find it)
Then I plugged the box in and attached the null modem cable,
opened up the erom upgrade folder and ran CONFIG.BAT
then ran EROMUPGRADE
Selected the firmware I downloded
Ticked Include Bootloader
Clicked next
when it says-
synchonizing stb
Reset target
I unplug and replug the power cable out of the back of the box quite fast it will then let you carry on and recover the box
once recovered you can update to a later firware via usb or the X3 Lan tool.
hope this works for you as I was pulling my Hair out yesterday
Thank you soooo much mate!!!
I tried probably about 10 diferent software to reflash my skybox m3 and every single time Ive seen "set stb memory error". I thought Ill try last time and if that doesnt work Ill binn this box.
NOW Everybody who has the same problem!!!
Every single instruction I founded on how to do it, there was no mention about running config.bat before you start, there was not even config.bat included.
After running config.bat, first attempt to flash my box and it worked for me!!!
I cant thank you enough. You are the star!!!!!!!!!!Comment
