My mate and myself have been trying several methods to get the HD channels working again on all boxes, all attempts have failed so far, now though we are trying something else that does appear to be working, need to see what happens over the next few days though just to see if this fix keeps working or not, it might, it might not, shall see how it goes, he's the brains behind it, not me.

funny how sly said champions league was not worth what bt paid for it.
Yet sly advertise the champions league like crazy.. bt only getting warmed up

sd channels have definitely been descaled/messed with...
The picture quality was way better 10-15 years ago on the old crt tv's . Now they are too damm grainy and pixelated. Sly the $#@!#/@; . How come the sd pic on freeview is way better?

You don't need to use scart as the RGB signal travels through the hdmi

could you not do a mixture of both leave the HDMI in for the remaining HD channels and then switch to scart when watching SD, Not ideal i know but could be worth a go

and thanks to karakoram for the spot on TCM HD, so the remaining HD channels are

    Film 4 HD
    Sly 3D
    BT Sport 1 HD
    BT Sport 2 HD
    ESPN HD
    Sly News HD
    RTE Two HD
So as pointed out its a matter of what channels are left. And then its a matter of the best settings on a flat screen TV to show your SD up better. So thanks to digicon for that and if any folks have better suggestions feel free to suggest

Certainly worth a try for some of you and see if the SD picture improves
