My mate and myself have been trying several methods to get the HD channels working again on all boxes, all attempts have failed so far, now though we are trying something else that does appear to be working, need to see what happens over the next few days though just to see if this fix keeps working or not, it might, it might not, shall see how it goes, he's the brains behind it, not me. -
Sorry last reference was related to this post. Sunshine too bright to double check post:-)Leave a comment:

The picture quality was way better 10-15 years ago on the old crt tv's . Now they are too damm grainy and pixelated. Sly the $#@!#/@; . How come the sd pic on freeview is way better?Last edited by trance; 28 June, 2014, 06:55.Leave a comment:

You don't need to use scart as the RGB signal travels through the hdmiLeave a comment:

could you not do a mixture of both leave the HDMI in for the remaining HD channels and then switch to scart when watching SD, Not ideal i know but could be worth a goLeave a comment:

So as pointed out its a matter of what channels are left. And then its a matter of the best settings on a flat screen TV to show your SD up better. So thanks to digicon for that and if any folks have better suggestions feel free to suggestLeave a comment:

My SD is disastrous on my 32" Bush TV but if I do use scart I'll lose the BBC HD channels which isn't worth it?A lot of users especially with HD receivers will see a marginal benefit if you use the Scart (RGB) output on your box instead of the HDMI and change settings to 576i output.
As we all know the HDMI output will always try and upscale the picture to your current HDMI settings.
Certainly worth a try for some of you and see if the SD picture improves
Also my box setting is still 1080i 50hzLeave a comment:
