Hi guys

i am new into this forum and tried to search for keywords regarding my issue with DM500C but to no avail.

Basically need you experts' advice on:
1. my DM500C has a setup pin which is 'locked' at the moment. If i can manage to 'unlock' this pin, means i could scan for the newest channels (such as Hello Japan 149) via the cable line?
2. If no to my question 1, how do i scan and install newest channels (or even not S****ub channels) into my DM500C?

If u cannot unlock the pin, u r stuck to the channels that u have unless u do a reflash.

i believe maybe your yellow button on remote has a online channel update function and also a online key update function"??????????

If yes, connect to router and update
Otherwise learn how to ftp keys
someone need to pass u key

first time it happens to me.. it was scanning and after scanning and found i can only play the free to air channels.
anyone know how to resolve this?

edit: here's what i've done.
i have reflashed it to the latest pil version with maxvar
downloaded the latest broquet for DM500C as of 14032013
downloaded Mgcamd 1.38a
followed the instructions using dreambox edit tool.
but not sure why after transponder scan says successful but i still can only watch FTA channels

You probably did not backup the keys when you re-flash?

Hi Master, I have gone in to plugin -> bouquets update then click, then all the channels gone...even rebooting it, I can't get back my channel. Appreciate someone guide me how to restore back all the channels.

Download latest bouquets from the download section. Use dreamedit to ftp back to ur box.

if my box is a 500c but not dreambox.. i think its the blackbox clone... will the images still work if i flash using dreamup?
