Q5 HD PVR Cable Receiver latest Bouquet with BPL

My q5 is running ok but about two weeks ago HD channels is not showing up. It's on the list but no audio and video coming out. Do you also encounter such issue? Non hd channels are ok. Can you help or any advice on what to do?

I've not yet read the posts after this one yet so not sure if you've been answered. To get into the active protocol you need to go to setup>Network and once inside the network area press 3453 which will let you into the area you need.

HI to all, Ive just read every post here regarding this box. I am in the UK and have been given one of these boxes to try out. It appears to be running a different or custom firmware from what ye guys are using Software :1.20 June 24 2013 Boot & Loader are version 1.00.
Blue Panel or blue button is disabled telnet prompts for a username for which i cannot get past. All attempts to get into the 5erver or client section have failed. I can access the box using the q5tools.exe but dont want to change anything as the box is not mine. All UK full Nagra 3 channels are working on this boxes current setup and removing the ethernet cable will stop these channels from clearing so there is an active protocol in the box but I cannot see it. Ive also tried the different combinations of remote buttons such as menu>info>2222 but none of these work either. Scanning channels on this box the way it is set up is a really sloooooooowwwwwwww process. I know the cables.xml can be changed but as it is the only way to find all of them in the UK is a Bruteforce scan.The epg does not work at all but now and next does occasionally work. On the whole good box fast channel change ...Anyone else in the UK using this set top box or knowing how to access the secret menu please send me a pm ...Thanks BM

Its a customized box not the same as open source Dreambox. So i don think u can do much with it except the mentioned 3453 menu where u can input yr relevant datas accordingly.

Spoke too soon. When I connect the Q5 to my tv via a hdmi cable I dont get any sound but if I connect it through an amp with the same hdmi lead the sounds comes through the speakers. I was wondering if a firmware upgrade would sort this and does any one know where to get said upgrade?

A lot of my UK channels have changed transponders but I have no idea how to add these back in to my customized favourites list under MOvies, Sport etc. Also, you can't sort the channel list alphabetically which is just plane annoying. Any tips greatly appreciated. Thank you!

To sort each favourite channel list click RESORT CHANNEL the select which list you want from the drop down channel list then select move down or move to and put the number where you want it to sit.
It's easy to do from the receiver as well. It just takes time.

-MVhd(dishonest) don hav all a lot of HD channels and they will ask u to pay them subscription after full n3.
-Q5 (got to find out yrself)

Q5 use to hv a better quality but recent productions r no better. They share the same s***r provider too.

dont think they share the same server, MVHD uses icam which i think is uniquely theirs and they wont work on other boxes.
