Can't scan EPL channels on my new tnHD model HDC-888

Hi Bros, Can't scan for the EPL channels on my set box. Is there any software upgrade done. Please guide. Desperate to watch EPL? Thanks.

hi anathema, i have the exact model as chinwm and he's right. The setup box can't detect .AP files, it needs a firmware with .bin now.

If it's a bin file, will the 05082013-White-FYHD-MHD-usb_upgrade_app file. bin be able to update the FYHD 800-e? This is the file uploaded in the Singapore Dreambox page. Appreciate some advice, thanks.

not too sure about that sinibaba, i'm using HDC-800. might work for you but definitely didnt work for us

Hi Guys

I've been going through the posts here and would like to share that for my 800c-vii set, all i did was updated the fw and autoscanned and managed to get all b*p*l channels. First 6 channels were in the early 900s (showing meeyostaydeeyurm) and the the next 2 channels were a few channels up with no channel descriptions. The fw upgrade did the trick.

The quality was not very good and choppy initially. Changed to a better quality hdmi cable. Solved.

However, someone else with the same model, did the same upgrade and same procedure, could only get the first 6 channels. Might be due to signal strength. Will update if a change of cables solved his problem.

Just sharing with the rest here.

White MHD600C. Just bought it 2 weeks ago with updated 05082013 firmware....sorry for the late reply...cheers

I'm using FyHd800C-ii but cannot update using the firmware provided. After selecting the .Bin file it reboots and back to channel 101. Check firmware still the same. Dunno why it can't flashed. It didn't show any updating screen.
