Both teams have had players have death threats. It doesn't last long and nothing ever comes of it so why do we keep talking about it.

Cg, It's a Lennon thread not a Celtic/Rangers one, that's why I think those things (such as the threats) got mentioned - like you posted the headline re Lennon's ex business partner...

So to sum up the last 8 pages. It's obvious to most normal minded people that no one deserves the grief Lennon and his family have received.

Celtic is predominantly supported by Catholics and Rangers is predominately supported by Protestants. Both teams are made up of various religions so realisticaly both groups of supporters cheer on Catholics, Protestants, Muslims etc. If anyone is that biggoted that they hate the opposite Religion then hate the team you also support as they pay those you hate, infact why don't they become Priests etc if Religion means that much to them.

At the end of the day the quality of the team all boils down 'Will a businessman pump money into the club to buy quality players'. It's got nothing to do with an individuals religion so why to the tits always bring it into the game.

I couldn't believe the news today. No longer threats and no longer individuals who are Northern Irish and on Celtics books. Now a Celtic supporting QC, an Celtic supporting MSP and of course the Celtic manager have been sent 'viable' parcel bombs. And why a news blackout to this?

Absolutely disgusting what is happening over a game of football. It goes to show the stupidity of some tits who've shown they are that weak minded that they have allowed themselves to be brainwashed into believing they are fighting the cause. Yeah but the device sent to lennon was intercepted on the 26th of March and the police called for a media blackout on it. What seems strange is the fact that they lift this blackout 5 days before what they already called a volitile Old Firm match on Sunday. Very strange that one.

Yeah they are only now just allowed to report it it was on news last night said device was found on 26th March but police made them keep quiet while the investigated the device.

I think this is the work of some bigoted, hate-filled individual. The police said that while the devices were viable and could have caused serious damage, they were also crude and did not appear to have been devised with any specialist knowledge.

Sectarianism is still alive and well in Scotland and Northern Ireland depsite tourist propaganda depicting them differently.

The thing is guys these tits use Football as a vehicle. The problem is not this guy or guys being Rangers fans, the problem is not the OF. The problem is Scottish society - nothing to do with football. But when the Police and Scottish parliament hold a summit and basically blame the OF on all bigotry, racisum and secartianism in Scotland it doesn't help!

But to be fair...the clubs & the SFA have brought some of this on. They need to do more on the singing etc. You let tens of thousands of people sing sectarian songs every week is that going to help the problem what Scottish society has? No of course not.
