I would not be surprised If Mr McCoist gets something sent through the post there were death threats painted on the outside walls at Ibrox after the game at parkhead. Players at Ibrox have also had bullets sent to them in the post in the past. I hope whoever has sent this is caught and jailed for the crime that he, she or they have committed. They are not football fans they are terrorists and should be treated as such.

I am a complete outsider to the Old firms and in my opinion Niel Lennon comes across really badly, he whinges and instills paranoia. I cant ever remember a manager like him although that said he has done well and will be a great manager for years to come given his young age now.

OK, the bottom line is he is a bit of a dick, but no one deserves the abuse that this poor man and his family have gotten from so-called Rangers fans.

Lennon has 5 things against him in Scotland.

        1. He's Northern Irish.
        2. He's a Catholic.
        3. He's successful.
        4. He's outspoken.
        5. He's a Catholic.

A successful Nothern Irishman, outspoken, ROMAN CATHOLIC in Scotland - not allowed by 75% of the population I'm afraid.

There is no evidence that any of this is down to Rangers supporters so please don't mention Rangers FC in this matter.

I don't care who sent these devices I'd still denounce them. We all live and work with people we don't particularly like but you just get on with it. For anybody to become targets of such devices is wrong.

I don't like Neil Lennon but I'd never condone what he and his family have had to cope with.

We've had people from both Celtic and Rangers threatened and I would never blame the fans for that as this goes much deeper than that. The people doing things like this may may wear Rangers or Celtic colours but neither club can do anything to stop this.

Non of this stuff is being done in the name of football, it's all being done by terrorists who happen to call themselves Rangers or Celtic supporters.

I have every sympathy for those involved in this latest incident all I ask is that people don't assume it has anything to do with Rangers or their true supporters.

If you read the posts made over the last couple of days you'll find that nobody has mentioned Rangers or it's supporters in connection with this.

Witchy did mention abuse from so-called Rangers fans. The abuse is well documented and has nothing to do with the present outrage. The post he was replying to had nothing to do with it either, and he did use the term "so-called Rangers fans".

                No need to worry.

Jim I agree with most of what you say there. No one knows for sure if it's a Rangers fan/fans that have sent the bombs to Lennon and the Celtic supporting polititian and QC.

I make you totally right that these people just use football to jump on the back of.

The thing is as well what no one has mentioned, this hasn't come at a good time for Rangers, in that Uefa are looking into the singing - then this comes. Rightly or wrongly people/Uefa are maybe assuming it's a Rangers fan/fans. It may not be anything to do with Rangers fans at all, but it's some more mud at the minute which Rangers FC and all there decent supporters don't need.

Clubs can't do anything about individual idiots, but like I said in an earlier post they can do something about racist, sectarian and political singing at games - especially home games. Throw them out, take there season book away from them and ban them. If thousands are doing it (which we all know that there is) make an example of 20 or 30 per game. The message would get through sooner or later. I'm sure that would help in the long run.

So you are saying that 75% of Scottish people are bigots ?, listen mate ive got lots of Celtic supporting friends,im not a bigot but that man certainly is
he called the Rangers bench Orange B's at Ibrox as a player
then proceeded to spit on a Rangers scarf,he alone has cranked up the tension between both sets of fans, and i must point out that i dont condone parcel bombs and bullets being sent to anyone, but please give it a rest with the poor wee neily stuff.

Mate I've seen that video as well and can you honestly say that he said that from that video?? Regards the spitting on a Rangers scarf.. he definitely did spit in the direction or near the scarf at the side of pitch at Ibrox. Not a wise or nice thing to do at all, but that and that alone doesn't mean he's 1) a bigot and 2) fare game to what's happening.

As for "he alone has cranked up the tension between both sets of fans." Come on! You dunni think Rangers signing a certain loan player cranked up any tension?? You dunni think that certain loan player hasn't cranked up any tension in the games he's played so far against Celtic? I could go on, but this would be going off thread..

You've got your figures seriously wrong Witchy with the 75% bit. You'd be lucky in today's society if there was 75% of people that could give a shit about others religion or where they came from, especialy Northern Ireland. Even in the last Census in 2001 there wasn't even 75% of the population classing themselves as Religious.

I know there's a lot of bigatry between Celtic and Rangers, Hearts and Hibs etc but they are just a few clubs with a few hundred thousand supporters, loads of which support by proxy. There's probably a few million of the 5 million plus population that don't follow football so please don't tar us with the bigots brush.

The real bigots are the few thousand uneducated followers, probably not even 1% of the population. There's plenty of decent Catholic, Protestant, Aethiest and Jedi's out there that respect quality, not Religion or Nationality.

I never mentioned that any of this was Diouf's fault? Of course it isn't! Bigotry has been alive and well in Scotland long before Diouf was born, never mind before he came to Scotland. I was replying to your statement of the above "he alone has cranked up the tension between both sets of fans" I was merely pointing out that this is incorrect to say the least. He alone?!

This isn't meant to be a tit for tat thing here..but maybe you should take off the blue specs once in a while.

                              We'll leave it at that.
