      These threads go on forever.

I think the ACTUAL question in hand was actually will lennon quit over whats happened?

What's wrong with a thread going on forever ? Surely that's good for a forum, people have an interest they post, if they don't have an interest then they stay away from a particular thread, that's how it rolls!

Why should Lennon quit ? Thats what the arseholes want, wouldn't it be better for those of us against the crap thats going on to come out and support Lennon ? I would suggest that would be a much better position to attain than wanting Lennon to quit ! If Lennon does quit, does that mean the bigotry goes away too ? Not in a million years, because and heres the crux, Lennon is NOT the problem, the sectarian bigots are the problem, until they are addressed and support is given to the victim to show the thugs they cannot win, then the problem will never ever go away! That is a crying shame ! Lennon needs to stay otherwise, who will be next, the ball boy who cups his ears ?

Rangers players have had bullets inthe past also Was Lafferty sent his becase he was of Protestant religion from NI playing for Rangers? He has also had his car trashed a fair few times. Nothingkn like getting a bomb I'll agree but there are mentalist on both sides.
as a friend of mine pointed out, it must be the worst thing ever seen in scottish football, apart from the celtic supporter who tried to attack hugh dallas on the pitch,or the celtic fan who attacked dida of a c milan, and maybe the celtic fan who tried to attack ally maxwell or the celtic fan who tried to attack wee strachan when he was a player,we certainly have never seen anything like it before

he was remanded in custody, the courts should make an example of him, anything could have happend when he attacked lennon, there were young kids at that game, thats not a nice thing for them to witness, it should'nt happen in this day and age, after all its only a game, understandably passions run high, but violence is never the answer, shame on him for doing what he did, hes a discrace to the hearts fans, and should be banned from football games for life

No idea McMav, maybe you could enlighten us, What is the reason, Neil Lennon, Niall McGinn and Paddy McCourt all Catholics from the North of Ireland are under threat ?

Maybe the current crop of bigots are worse than those of O'Neills era, or they were too busy intimidating others and had no time for evil footballers !

I have no idea. Just seems strange that everyone is saying its because he is an NI RC that he's getting all this yet previous NI RC manager didnt.

Look at Lafferty he got bullets in the post he is an NI Protestant look at Nacho Novo he got death threats his address published on "fans" forums so they could go get him. Song sun wishing he died in his sleep with a bullet from the IRA?

The bomb threats have taken this to a new and gross level but it is not all new like most people like to say it is.

Sure looked like he did. He kicked everyball on the touchline. Also seeme to jump for everyheader.

But they said Lennon wasnt liked in NI coz he was an RC. Did O'Neil get the same treatment when he played and Captained the country??

Ok you tell me then, why was Lennon given instant abuse when he signed for celtic? Similar to the abuse James McCarthy was given when he decided to play for EIRE why was that ? because Boyd refused to play and wasnt booed? mmm Maybe that Catholic thing again !!!!!

Now maybe I am wrong here but what did he do prior to joining us to make the vile that pours from ibrox be vented against him?

Rangers fans and others seem to say same old shite, he brings it on him self.

So tell me what did he do when he joined as a player?????

Lennon at the time was a high profile player from NI that was catholic.

Now he was tolerated to an extent while playing for NI but as soon as he joined Celtic as a player he was vilified.

Rangers jumped on this why ? cos he is a CATHOLIC FROM NI.

So the hatred grows and grows and Lennon being the person he is rises and gives it back but OH NO he cant be allowed to do that. Kill him how dare he !!!!!

So he leaves international football but the hatred from IBROX continues and still does to this day.

Even on here some of you cant accept the fundamental issues regarding the sectarian hatred that is aimed at Catholics.

but hey your up to you knees in it eh ?

I hope Lennon stays no matter if he wins the league or not.

YNWA and Lennon is here to stay.

Thing is you go onto most fan forums of other clubs and they all hate him too? Whats their reason behind it?
Why was Nacho Novo targeted was it because he was an RC who played for Rangers? What about Mo Johnston. to this day he cant come to Glasgow for fear of that Celtic fans will do to him.

I'd love for a day when all we talk about is football. I really do. There are sick elements who attatch themselves to both clubs.
