    Ranger, try this:

    1. In the Wii menu, choose uLoader
    2. Click on Start
    3. uLoader will show you the games on your memory stick, choose a game by hovering over it with the Wii remote and pressing A
    4. This will bring up a screen with options for the game you chose (i.e Load, Configure etc). Choose Configure and here you can choose IOS, NTSC, PAL etc)

    Hope that helps.

You can choose dvd from the top right of the uLoader menu.

Or you can format a usb storage device using WBFS Manager which you must download and install on your pc.

Thanks, i'm going to try this tonight or tomorrow.

What if anything fails and the wii is broken? Is there a way to create a backup of the whole original firmware?

Hi Wacked, when using WBFS to put image on the stick it seems to reduce the size of the image by a lot is this right.

Thanks for this guide, took my time doing it and now my wii is playing games from my usb hdd,etc..

The image file does get smaller when its transfered to WBFS usb drive,so don't worry about that!!

                        hello,

I read the NAND backup thing but didn't know for sure that this could fix *everything* in case of problems.

Thanks, i'm trying it tomorrow (no more time today )

Hi RangerIt's possible that WBFS Manager has issues stating the actual size of and on the disk. Try the USB disk in your Wii with uLoader...J

Another question before doing the mod: if you backup your save games to an SD card, are the "mii"'s also backuped? (or don't you lose the mii personages when installing the mod?)

Dying to try this - have softmodded two Xbox's (original) before.
