its Okey ;p ive played around with VVDI and MB DOCTOR and got a working ESL, cause both dont work same, got keypassword from VVDI .. then adapted ESL with MB DOCTOR, so if could get KeyPass is think its FBS3 ... right?

i use this procedure:
1-- connect wire ( gnd, vcc, can-h and can-l)
2--read module (ISM)
3-- get erase pass word
4-- renew (all is good when it say succes)
5-- you can unplug and plug again power ( vcc or gnd) and read again to see that all is good (personalized: no, actived:no)

My friend if u read the usermanual there is written u can not perform this on car this must be on bench and it will take more than 2 hours so u need to keep trying

10 times ? are sure ? :) the new update is released today moorning at 05:00 DK time, then only 13 hours from release till now...one attempt need 2,5 hours...x 10 = more then 25 hours... ;)
how do you get it so fast so much times ???? ;) i not understand so much now....
and i not believe when you stand up today at 5 o'clock :D

I think he said he try 10 times (so i did) but it fail in 30-40 seconds. It will not run to the end.
I will keep trying more

Hi is wright. I try more than 10 times. It starts and it fails withing 30-50 seconds. It will not progress more than 1 minute.

then must be there something wrong... :(
i try it 2 times....first time reading aquisition data 2,5 hours...send online to server, calculation failed....second time reading aquisition data again 2,5 hours....send online to server,
after 1 minute get back the password.... ;)
try now calc. key dumps, write first dump to BE key, use in EZS/EIS...learned quickly... ;)
try to use now Xhorse W204 ELV-emulator...success assigned...new key turn, EMU sound lock/unlock rightly... ;)

all finished success ;)

every W212, where assembled manual transmission or 5G-automatic have W204 EZS/EIS with W204 ELV metal unit :listen:

I done already W212 ELV emulator with dexxer manuall for W204. All went quick with no problems whatsoever.

I have done a few and every time I change the original file name to something different, it fails.
Not sure if it's a coincidence or not.

i mean picture of your EZS unit...from the side where is part number writed or some sticker/label there... :listen:

instead of the picture...is your EZS readable through OBD cable adapter or through IR adapter without any problems ???

I always fear reading via IR when customer asking for a spare key, is there a rule of thumb when to read via IR without affecting the original key?

Hi , I used vvdi to renew ISM unit # A164 446 0610. It was succesfully renewed. But put into car and when making personalize and activate ,it was unsuccelfull. I used same number ISM but chassis is different (W251 ISM put into W221). What is correct procedure ? Any idea?

was the ISM unit at the begin sure in 100% condition ? no any fault inside ? :)
initial startup to do in DAS, as when you have new unit, its very easy, only click and look... :listen:

unit is from ebay. When renewed vvdi on screen VIN stays with old number. After renewing I used control unit adaptations , detach the transporrt ... ISM ,personalize or activate module . Is this correct? Or should I change VIN number? When use renewed unit use -"Initial startup" menu or - "Control unit adaptations" menu?

detach TP is removed yet....VIN number take ISM unit through personalisation process from EZS self.

ebay unit was not 100% , it has fault codes. So i changed another ISM which is 100% good but different part # A 164 446 0710 (original w221 "s was A1644460610) . Again renewed and installed back into car made Initial startup. But it failed.

the fakt that unit has a fault code (common fault codes for this unit) does not mean that you can not renew and can not personalize and activate, unless the fault code is a software fault.
can you try to detach transport , personalize and activate in development mode?

I got a cleint with Damaged EIS on a W202. Now he went and bought a complete set with EIS and ECU from Junkyard.
Car cranks but not start. Only fault code shows BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. Nothing else.
However his original ECU was working fine before they damaged the EIS. So now my question is that can I adapt this "new" EIS to the old ECU? Can the VVDI BGA help me do it or what would I need to do this?

Tools I have for Mercedes is: MB STAR C3 , VVDI BGA MB TOOL, AK500

i think when is NEC in adapter readable through button "ESL read data" then is still possible to unlock it ;)
i not unlocked any NEC in 5 minutes and not at first attempt... everytime needed after failed start unlock process again :listen:

I think i find the problem suggested by daxxer. I have a self made adaptor and i did not conect the K line. Now i conect the k line and it is not interrupting. It is now in 4 minutes

will leave till the end.

The unite not broken as you said daxxer , ISM would be only hardware broken ! not DAS learning ! that's lame ! same as MR
mercis (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/member.php/99678-mercis) said W221 not same with early w164 ! look in EPC !!!!!

The EIS didn't turn (Faulty Key). This clever guy decided to break the EIS into pieces. So I thought of just transferring the EEPROMS and code a key, but the EEPROMS are dead. 1 Reads but half Data only. The other MCU is not reading. Tried many many times and cleaned pins and everything but doesn't read. I guess they shorted it out when they were hacking the EIS with screwdriver.

I guess now we need to erase or renew this "donor" eis and key and make it work with his original ECU.

Help and guidance shall be really appreciated

if car crank means it has drive autorization ok (unles someone has wired the starter relay directly)
easiest way is to try old ecu with this new set. (maybe new ecu is bad)
It is cdi CR1? so just virginise 24c04 and match to your ezs

But see his attempts daxxer it exceed the 1000 try and this happened exactly to obe of the nec that i have got i kept it for 3 nights trying over 15000 try and no joy and later i tried with another attempt on the 5th attempt it unlocked successfully

yes....sometime unlocked NEC in one night, sometime need more time and attempts...i have till today unlocked 5 or 6 NEC's and no any one stay locked..everything success, some NEC was faster finished, some other need more time to do...but all NEC's from ELV/ESL units at end success ;)

when i some attempt see 1000 times and still nothing, then i stop it manualy and start again... :listen:
when is the NEC still readable in adapter and all info you get, then i think is still in 100% condition and you can try to unlock it ;)

I am trying to renew ME9.7 for W211, shop owner tried to change capacitor, can anyone help with walkthrough on how to do it with VVDI BGA? I have yet to do it, still waiting on the ECU cables from vvdi shop.

Also I purchased ECU with similar ECU Numbers but not exact...I believe it was same engine...so I believe it should be okay? (Same flash hopefully)

Great tool best in the world. No way to compare it with another tool. 1st time China make something with no error and safe.

So I thought of just transferring the EEPROMS and code a key, but the EEPROMS are dead. 1 Reads but half Data only. The other MCU is not reading. Tried many many times and cleaned pins and everything but doesn't read. I guess they shorted it out when they were hacking the EIS with screwdriver.

I guess now we need to erase or renew this "donor" eis and key and make it work with his original ECU.

Help and guidance shall be really appreciated

Try to now reprogramm old NEC key v40 for use in W204 EZS/EIS, but after teaching the key in EZS/EIS was success teached in second attempt, :)
and later after use it many times insert/remove, because i test ELV/ESL unit with new engine inside.... :listen:
it was still half empty info, no any Counter, no any Remain times, no any Use times and no any Key number :(

then try to use function Repair key via IR and success, after again reading key data, all info filled ;)

ME9.7 are not MED97 i think :listen: have sure the right adapter for this ECU ???

yes, my post about my attempt to renew ME9.7 ecu type ;)
you can check the interadapter when is the pinout wiring right....
the adapters case is easy openable and there only PCB directly connected between both plugs...
check your adapter with my adapters wiring on the picture ;)

W209 or W211 you can everytime and how many times you want read MCU eeprom content...no need any other solution for that :listen:

When Xprog erase flash, then you forget disable Autoverify, is knowing problem by xprog and EZS
R270 use better cable for reading, isn't bad tool, problematic are almost only 3K91D what i know...
another way ? other tool as Rosfar, VVDI Prog or some other with better quality cable for connection to EZS MCU :listen:

Hello, 3K91D/912D60 it can not be done never you try to read it in fact you destroy it by verify no matter which tool read it erase flash and can not put another.

Prepared Key File using VVDI MB
Used slot 3 using 051 bin file with BGA Key -no good
Used slot 4 using 051 bin file with Version 57 Key - no good
Used slot 5 using 051 bin file with Version 51 Key - no good
Used slot 7 using 051 bin file with Version 40 Key - no good

Can some one check and see where I been going wrong

Also could not renew Version 40 using NEC Adaptor, had to use ABPROG to erase and write.

When I connect it with OBD it read sometimes 15% and soemtime upto 60% and then says failed.
I have 2 Brand New units and both do the same. When I read original Metal ELV it reads properly.
Is there something faulty or what?
Also just to confirm when using this units in place of original ELV - I have to erase EIS and recode then only will it accept new ELV? Or can I personalise ELV emulator without erase EIS and Recode?

in facts...the EZS/EIS not come to erase, you only through renew function change his status from "activated" to "non-activated" :)
and only in this "non-activated" status you can success personalise ELV unit to EIS, not important when we speak about ORIG units or Emulator :listen:

So I contacted Samic and also my supplier, supplier just wants to send me a new cable. Samic says that some ECU are not supported, but won't help with trying to determine whether I have a faulty VVDI MB unit.

I don't work on MB often but everytime I've tried to read when I have one in the shop, VVDI has failed.

yes, as i await...you BE key is still not right accept in EZS, because is till now still in UNUSED status :listen:
this problem i have some time too, but almost only with this EZS older type used in W202,208 and 210 :(
the BE key not get from EZS back any info about success teaching...instead his function is OK...
is possible to repair it as handwork....change the key status manually ;) from UNUSED to USED :listen:
from 04FC to 14EC need to be changed :listen: sometime this error happen't
...on your BE key is sure still the red LED still ON, when key inserted in EZS....not OFF....

Ah, you mean VVDI main OBD cable...there is all as standard OBD2 norm.... GND, +12V, CAN-H, CAN-L, Kline :listen:

few days ago a mate tried for programming a spare key for a CLS500 06.2012 (w218) BGA equipped to keyless system with VVDI MB via OBD.
he told me after data acquisition and program new key, keyless original key or car broke down ( car start, remote work but keyless not work ) dissuasion request customer of new key.
test with Xentry diag: without any DTC on all units. answer support vvdi: i don't know what is the problem.
one repairman (Ali Sadeghi) told to customer that keyless module and key damage and you must pay 2200 $ for repair this car.
and he paid 2200 $ to customer as compensation.
price this car in the IRAN: 230000 $
cost spare key normally 230 - 300 $

this adapter version read V57 NEC without any problems...tested exactly now :listen:
maybe is your NEC wrong or have some other faulty somewhere...

I check all element on NEC adapter version 3 and sold by hot air all element, but not result. maby my adapter is damaged. how I know it to check? before return it to my seller. Thanks

Hi guys.

Got a W212 EIS to make a key. All Keys lost.
Questions are as follows:


How many tokens to make a key?
I have Condor so I get1 free token - if it requires 2 tokens will it take both from paid tokens or 1 free and 1 paid?
Do I need to erase the EIS to make key?
Do I need to recode the ESL or not after making the key?

why would you have the gateway adapter attached when you are in the car and it has its own gateway in the car....

you should be able to read eis data via obd , if you can not there is eather something wrong with vvdi or the car ...

Just to update everyone, I was able to read the EIS of a 2006 W203 through the OBD. The 2003 W203 was unable to be read through the OBD. Even though the chassis is the same, the year of the car made all the difference.

Just to update everyone, I was able to read the EIS of a 2006 W203 through the OBD. The 2003 W203 was unable to be read through the OBD. Even though the chassis is the same, the year of the car made all the difference.

for read EZS of W203 through OBD you need to connect Kline ( blue cable crocodile ) to Pin nr.1 on OBD plug directly :listen:
or try to read EZS in W203 as W211 type, because the unit is the same as in W211 car :listen: one step of this both must be sure functional ;)

W203 is not REAL car...something is from W211, something is from W639, something is from W209 and so and so... :stupid:
W203 till 2002 reading as W203(K) with connected Kline to OBD Pin nr.1 directly success
W203 from 2003 reading as W211 or W209 through CAN success...

Could not read EIS via OBD, only via IR. Tried to get password via on line and I kept getting key not synchronised with EIS.
So decided to try and get password from NEC of second key (Success).
Made another key and when inserted into EIS, all I get is "Computing data please wait". After 10 minutes still the same.
The key count kept going up every time I inserted the EIS after reading the key but just below it was still showing Unused.
Anyone had the same experience?

Which Key # did you select from the IR data?

Did you try reading IR multiple times and confirm if the hashes stay the same or change? I suggest you select another key # and try to synchronize.

Reason I ask is because I worked on a W203 and read the full EEPROM which provided me the full 8 hashes and information. Then I read it via IR and some of the hashes did not match the key #s from EEEPROM Key Hashes. So when I created a key via IR with the right password and selected a Hash that did not match the EEPROM, the Key was not getting synchronizes with the EIS, tried 50 times in and out. Then I wrote a key# from the IR which hash matched full eeprom, and after insertion, the EIS synched right away.

I'm reaching a conclusion that the VVDI does not read the hashes correctly for some EISs.

If anyone want to know more about this, I have the EIS in my hand and I test this on the bench, I can send more information needed to confirm this theory.

Hi,

I have one ecu engine CR5 with EDC16CP36, and need to erase it. The VVDI read the ecu, but not find "Erase pwd". I have attempt more of 10 times, but negative result.
Anybody have tested this type of ecu (S221 4.2 diesel) before?
Any idea is apreciable?

friend,from your tested result,never read success with ver 3 adaptor,this one maybe broken.
please contact your dealer seller,will replace a new one for you.after we get your old one will find the caused reason and improve.
