Don't think there will be a link for you to download keys and roms unless someone gave it to you.
If you read the thread and rules thoroughly, keys and roms are not allow in the forum

like what weitsung mentioned, hard reboot simply means offing your box's main switch and on it back after awhile.

i tried to do a hard reset but the latest channels did not show up..do i need to upload anything else beside dbedit?

Well there is few possibilities

Either your box is not dreambox
Or you did not have the key/rom files inside your box

Check yr log file for error in dreamboxedit and post here. If u have entered the correct settings, u should have no problem transferring the files over.

Oh...That is for 800 series only I guess...

This is a good alternative for guys who keep asking about the reserved channels rather then pressing the red button. Thou the channels also could easily be deleted as mention by Astrobox.

Try to revive it using dreamup and null cable.

Yes, kindly follow ypvs125 guide to revive the box
Selling it does not solve the problem.
Learning how to manage it will let you watch the box for a couple of years more if there is no change in SH key or system

What do u mean by brick can u specify in details what your box condition is now like can the box reboot? or just hang on start up screen? or from RCU no response?
Be more specific so that we can help u revive your box, as DB traitor mention no point selling the box, yes u can get a new box, after a while the same symptom or another symptom occur, U sell it again & get another new box?
But if the box is really brick by all means get a new set do u think someone will buy your brick box? I don't think so

Guys i have a HD800-C. I tried to update the bouquet using the page 1 instructions. I config everything to the exact point, but when I pressed the "send files to dreambox" button, the logs shows the below error message :

Connected.
Dreambox response: User logged in.
** Getting directory list /etc/enigma2/* **
Starting FTP transfer
Transfer complete
** Sending file "/etc/enigma2/lamedb" **
Starting FTP transfer
Transfer aborted
Error sending file "lamedb" to the Dreambox.
Disconnecting.
Disconnected.

Pls advise? I cannot find what's wrong as I had read all the 8 pages here and 863 pages over at the SGStarhub Digital-Kaos Image ...

From your IP address, I can see that its not a dreambox
Its a SUNRAY Box right?

Alternatively ftp is the solution

Ok, for FY you cannot use dreamboxedit. Your box is different from what we discussed here.
You probably bought the wrong type of box. But nevertheless, you can still get all the SH channels. The only problem is that you cannot do any changes to the interface, skin or channels the way you want it.

So whatever we discuss in the forum is not quite related to your box.

Always go for the brand Dreambox for SG
