Hello guys!
I am back! Sorry was having a very hectic work schedule. Finally I have managed to properly test out this set fully!
Well plus points first:
1) Set is very easy to set up
2) Images Clear, Sound quality is good!
3) Remote provided
4) Most importantly, I can get all the channels I want
5) Affordable
Not so good points
1) There is a few occasion when the sound suddenly disappear. Like the set mute itself. Normally a reboot of the system will clear this issue. Dun normally happens but it normally occurs when I keep switching channels or just on the set.
2) The Information of the show showing currently differs from the one which is actually showing. To me, dun really matter as long as the show is there
3) The set gets really really super hot, was wondering if it will overheat one day
Thats all guys!!
All in all, still a good set! Didn't regret buying it!Comment

hello all. can somemore please cfm that if i am able to stream the channel through rj45? like streaming with a dm500c through vlc streamingHi jatrophaseed, been reading and following your posts on the Q5-C and went ahead to try my hand at it after spending all my time on DMs. Hence I hope that I can seek your advice on a few points.
Details of my Q5 as follows:
Software : 1.20
Boot Ver : 1.00
Loader : 1.00
Date : June 25 2013
Manufacture : TC
Box Type : Q5C
Tuner : NXP CD1616-4
1. Keys Menu - You mentioned to press Menu>Info>OK>2222, however I tried pressing them together but to no avail. You did also mentioned that there are different versions, hence i believe that the access to the key management plugin might have changed. Do you have any idea on how to access it?
2. Backup of Image - How should I go about to backup the image? If possible I will backup and share it with all those that might require it. Btw I followed your advice and gotten the stb with the vertical placed tuner. I believe that this should be the newer full digital ones.
3. Network Access - Also saw that you will be posting soon some info to gain network access. I am able to get into the network server config section, but as it indicates CCCam, I wish to learn how to backup the image before playing around with the config file. For your info I am seeing the following fields and its options:
Select Server : Server 1/ Server 2/ Server 3/ Server 4
Protocol : CCCam / Newcamd
Connect Enable : Disable / Enable
Server Address : ****** (should it be my computer IP address?)
IP Port : 00000 (If SSH, should use port 21 rite? Wonder if Port 80 is usable?)
User Name : "Left Blank"
Password : ****** (Got the English user manual with the box, default password is 123456)
Emu Enable : Disable / Enable
* Save (Press Green to save)
Hope that you have the time to provide some pointers, especially if I am heading the wrong direction!
Many thanks in advance.Comment

Even if N1 end, if this box still support N3 with its CCCam settings, the timer record can still be used...So since while we waiting for N3, can still concentrate on Timer@ arronlim; daily/weekly scheduling is on the drawing board liao. But N1 ending very very soon. only few weeks to go.
