HI to all, Ive just read every post here regarding this box. I am in the UK and have been given one of these boxes to try out. It appears to be running a different or custom firmware from what ye guys are using Software :1.20 June 24 2013 Boot & Loader are version 1.00.
Blue Panel or blue button is disabled telnet prompts for a username for which i cannot get past. All attempts to get into the 5erver or client section have failed. I can access the box using the q5tools.exe but dont want to change anything as the box is not mine. All UK full Nagra 3 channels are working on this boxes current setup and removing the ethernet cable will stop these channels from clearing so there is an active protocol in the box but I cannot see it. Ive also tried the different combinations of remote buttons such as menu>info>2222 but none of these work either. Scanning channels on this box the way it is set up is a really sloooooooowwwwwwww process. I know the cables.xml can be changed but as it is the only way to find all of them in the UK is a Bruteforce scan.The epg does not work at all but now and next does occasionally work. On the whole good box fast channel change ...Anyone else in the UK using this set top box or knowing how to access the secret menu please send me a pm ...Thanks BM

Yes, the setup is locked once ethernet is config. This is done so that user cant tamper the config with box/server afterwhich get nonsense call for wrong input by user. This is 1 of the most stable for N3, Here in Sg, once ethernet is setup, it will b locked too. the rest of .xml is update via online, pls ask your provider to feed online update for yr new chn list.

I managed to get blue button active again by downgrading firmware to 1.19UK I however have not been able to find the firmware 1.20 that was on the box when i recieved it. Box still working fine but the blue button is now available all the time. I have powered off rebooted etc but blue button and features always available. Question now is how to hide blue button features again. All channels are clearing via ethernet and mgc*md protocol and the ip address is set to static for now.. Any further info appreciated.. Cheers .

If box working fine, it would be better let it be. Don't try to upgrade firmware. upgrade to different version may cause some problems, losing channels, setting, and so on...

Most ppl r glad they unlocked the blue panel, why do u want to lock it again like the work of a Master Provider? However this FW is not publicly avlb, usually for Masters of server. FW1.22 is latest and is suitable for UK as well. I was told it has been tested with UK .ts stream and is satisfactory accepted. The only addition in this new FW is the EPG pre-scheduled recording features not avlb with UK's 1.19, only difference the display interface from blue/green to only blue.
Ask yr dealer in UK for the FW as the pw is proprietory setup by them. Usually once blue panel is config, it locked to prevent accidental editing and cascading possibility.

Hi again, I mentioned on my first post that I was given the box to try out.. To elaborate I was given the box for a week then to return to the owner.... My own curiosity got the better of me not not being able to access the hidden menu. Its now time to return the box and I wish to do so without the owner knowing I had a snoop around hense the reason I asked to lock the box again.. Just wanted to clear that up......... Yes it is definitely quiet since the last few days and I don't know if this is a good news whether all problem were solved or the subject of N3 really a problem that it becomes a dead lock as to what to do with with our current DB and also what plans if there is any upgrade path on any existing models that we are using at the moment. Sigh

Can anyone reupload firmware 1.22 ? i am TC Q5 HD PVR and i only can air fta channels . starhub channels are listed but not able to play, previously can play on 1.17 but i saw 1.19 and then cannot already.
