Q5 HD PVR Cable Receiver latest Bouquet with BPL

I pick up a flyer at Sim Lim Square today
Seems like Android box and IPTV is the next in thing.
This box is very impressive because it can get all latest movies, dramas and also BPL channels.
However I notice the the streaming quality is so so only. But overall great product. They advertising at $220 per box

Believe to get BP oil Elle magazine pages you need to subscribe to their service. Also the pages come in Cantonese commentary. Imagine the commentator trying to pronounce the Van Wolfswinkle name. If big green pipe goes totally N 3 may consider it

I think X7 was much better becos its quad core
Streaming was ok, software and registration was free by that shop
Stand down there for a good one hour, she demo everything to me. I was indeed impress. Otherwise beside our dreambox, I dont know what else to look forward after N3.

Dont try, no good. Wont help anything and could make box worst. My personal opinion, caveat emptor.

It's not cheap and it is subscription mode. The 1st year is free and subsequently you have to pay to continue to watch. $3xx for that I would save and buys a Samsung Tablet and watch something else.

Anyone know how to backup the Q5 current image?

no point to back it up if u use the latest FW, u wont lose anything. you will only have few extra features namely ping google, future FW upgradable by internet after u flash it, so that u don have to scramble all over the net for future FW. And the taboo feature.

My q5 is running ok but about two weeks ago HD channels is not showing up. It's on the list but no audio and video coming out. Do you also encounter such issue? Non hd channels are ok. Can you help or any advice on what to do?
