Ah so theres a sound issue! i thought it was my tv being odd and having the sound low for some reason

This has always been a problem with the design of the Dm500, not the image.

By sheer chance Dgital Kaos turned up in a google search today and at last I've found where everyone from DW went. Nice to see a lot of familiar names in the post list.

Looks like a great image. Good work Devilfish. Now I just need to make a few posts to be able to get it. Not sure how many times I've had to start from zero posts in the last few years!

Splendid image old been? takes a wee bit of getting to grips with, but defo worth it?totally love the skin?
The problems I?ve encountered so far are mostly in AV settings?
If I change the aspect ratio on the box it doesn?t do anything,
and if I turn the box off at the mains it loses the all the settings I?ve changed in AV?
i.e. it reverts back to CVBS but I?ve previously set it to YPbPr and the default AC3 always ends up unchecked?
anyone else had that?

If you're getting funny problems like settings not saving, reflash the image and it should be ok.

I've not encountered any problems like that.

Backup services and bouquets beforehand. (Yellow - User Features - ServicesBackup)

Am waiting for my dm500c to get here. I have a dbox but it had all the files in the image.

Where do i copy Ev****d_2.17c.tbz2 to install it ?

this image brought my box back to life, it was running great for a few days, now its crashing every-time i start up. going to re-flash it the now

This looks an interesting flash.
When I get my clone working again I'll give it ago.
In fact I might look at getting another box to try it on.

have you tried doing a flash erase before you flash the image?
