I wouldn't have known about this if it wasn't for me doing a factory reset and loosing everything.

I was trying to stream to vlc player this morning and it is not working, either using the vlc button on the web interface (that generates an error 404) or using the web xtv link in the web interface.

Is there a setting on the box I have missed?

i Just downloaded the latest DK file for 500-c but i cannot view the channels they are still blank apart from the free channels

currently using this image which is great. 1 question though regarding recording. i have managed to setup nas drive and apprently it does record onto it cos i can watch em in file mode. it was all by trial and error than anything and i'm not sure how to get recording properly. i thought i had to hold down 1 button and that would start, but looks like i have to press red, then press another colour ,which brings up an epg menu with start time etc then press green to confirm? is this right?

thought it may have been a 1 button start? is there another image which is very simple to record with cos kinda confused with this one?

If you are on the channel you want to record, press GREEN. That should display the infobar with DVR controls on it. I think it's RADIO or TV to start recording and RADIO or TV to stop ( I can't remember which starts and stops and I'm not at my box just now).

If you ftp to the box, go to /share/tuxbox/enigma/resources there's a file called rcdm5xxx.xml. View it or open with Wordpad and you'll see what all the buttons do, i.e. start, stop, ffw, rwd, pause, etc.

Alternatively, yes you can go to the epg of the program you want to record and press YELLOW or GREEN (can't remember , this is terrible) and you will get the timer record page so that you can set a program to record if you are out.

Of course this is all explained in the manual but everyone forgets that.

yep sorted thanks its the radio button i press to start quick recording...would have been easier to read manual, but i misplaced it yesterday, when chasing kids around

hey all crap at FTP(have never got it to work) but would like to use this image in Dublin can anyone be so kind as to backup the "complete image(all the bits and pieces put in)" file and PM me with it. Like upload it to rapidshare or something
