Guide: Flashing a Dreambox with Dreamup

Digital kaos v1 flashing problems

Im a bit new to this and lost on how to install this image if I cant use dreamup what is the method to install, when I try dreamup the imag installs but when i boot the new image it starts to boot screen picture then crases and reboots

Try flashing the image again using Dreamup but select Erase Flash first before flashing the new image.

There are other methods to flash an image but most need to have the box connected to the PC via ethernet...there's a guide here.

sorry im completely new to dream

i am familiar with dbox2 and have used ifa to flash in the past.

does dream up just work the same way and once flashed should it just be a case of scanning?

anything past this point and im lost!

That's pretty much it, same theory as the dbox2, just different apps. Dreamup is the dreambox equivalent of IFA, only Dreamup only uses the null modem cable.

Once flashed, it should boot up ok and all you need to do is scan for channels and set up bouquets. There's a guide in the download section for setting the bouquets up.
