Does anyone know if you can add memory to the dreambox dv3 DM500-C ? looking to see if I can get a bigger image onto the box with autoroll keys (Ireland)

the DK image is solely for the DM500, so yes it will fit.

if your having problems flashing it use dreamup and do a flash erase before you install the new image...

press menu 5511 then highlight >Enable Zap-OSD< and press OK. Exit menu.
Be aware the box freeze or restart after prompting this error message. To get rid of it, untick >Enable Zap-OSD< .

I guess the problem is in skin file called default.esml located in /share/tuxbox/enigma/skins/

I tried to edit this file to change the code, but no joy. This file is write protected and I can not change its attribute using flashFxp.

can somebody shome how to edit this file or replace it. thanks

Hi ,

download the attached file >default.esml< ,ftp to ur box ,send it to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/skins ,
reboot the box then u can enjoy the compact osd zapping after ticking >Enable Zap-OSD< without the annoying message "fatal error".

is it pos for someone to share the skin so anyone can use it on any image there using only asking this because its the best skin ive seen

my dad has a dream and my aunty and just to change the skin for them would be better

u can use the same skin to other images but only after editing the .esml file to suit the new image.

can someone help im new to dreamboxes but not dboxes, i really like this image easy to navigate fast channel changes, but is there anyway to get the epg like im used to on the dbox or even whats on now and next in the bouquets or am i looking in the wrong guide, sorry if this is a really easy question ive searched the forums but nothing that helps comes up

now and next is when you press info

press red twice quickly and you can choose multi guide or channel guide in the form of multi epg and channel epg

its worth getting used to the dreambox menus that way you can use both dbox and dreambox thats what i had to do

cheers id found that out by mistake this moring and im getting used to it, sometimes this crashes and the remote bacomes unresponsive any found any work arounds would a different emu make like gbox or mgcam or is it most stable with evo

Excellent image and initial post Devilfish to get this up and running. I am a novice with these boxes (just keep one spare for learning) but think I will keep this running as I like it so much.

PM Auto Update

Would anyone be kind enough to PM me to help with adding the auto update feature to the Kaos image.

many thanks to all that contributed to the creation of this image
i have just installed it and am very impressed with it.What may help anyone having problem with the auto update is what i had to do after following the helpfull instructions and downloading and installing all the files in order to get the au to work i replaced the rom 7 file in the relevent folder with one i had downloaded and the keys then au in seconds.

Well just spent 40 mins reading this thread sounds a very good image but unfortunately I have the old tuner so can?t test. Unless! is there a way of FTP the old driver from my image to the new image if yes where does it go? Otherwise can i ask that you put the option to choose drivers on the next rev please. cheers
