A drive Key is what is used to pair a drive to a motherboard. This must be present and matching the xbox nand in order for it to boot games.

I would be looking at CK3i And a Probe v3 for your drive. However if you have the drive key, you can leave the probe v3

Ok so i presume i cant go down the key route because i'm not aware of it thus meaning i havent got one so what about this guys

Nothing. Does same thing they are both probe v3. How ever you will need a drive power source and chipset. This is either gonna be the usb v2 which is both devices in 1 or a seperate items like via 6422 and a ck3 unit

Hi Cunny and all you lads

I have just updated to the newest dashboard and I'm nearly ready to flash my liteon dg16d2s drive with the latest LT3 firmware.
Few Questions

1.Because my drive was flashed previously will it have a valid key that i can extract
2.I have made a probe and a switch and have followed the you tube tut will this work?How to flash mod Xbox 360 Liteon drive to Lt 3.0 without ck3 pro probe - YouTube
3.can i mess it up' since i have installed the latest dashboard my backup games will not load anyway ?this is the dahboard version 2.0.16203.0

4. Really sorry for asking all these questions i have done some serios googling this week and just want to make sure i dont leave my son without an xbox

ok i have downloaded the latest liteon firmware from cunnys thread but which folder contains the firmware i need to flash ?

That depends on dashboard version. Also all you need to know is in the jungleflasher tut within the documentation folder

Let jungleflasher auto load it. Place all post 146 fw into tbe fir.ware folder

done that mate reloaded the dummy.bin not sure what to do now when i open target firmware i have to navigate but havent a clue what file to navigate to ? i have dumped all the firmware in the firmware folder of jungle flasher ?
